  1. We tried Loves today.

I got the AYCE Crawfish and it was delicious. I could have eaten more but I quit. Didn't want to make the family wait on me to finish.

I do have to say that my lips are on FIRE let me tell ya.

    Definitely will go back.

Brought some gumbo home and it's pretty good too.

    :o

I thought you wanted my husband to go there with you to eat crab legs?

He is going to be upset that you went without him.

    :p

  2. Jason also suffers from severe cramping, but his are not limited to his legs. Doing tree work, especially when it's hot, he sweats a lot, and that causes dehydration, and then he will start cramping and it will hit several different muscle areas and can last for hours.

Here is the solution we have found to work.

    1. Get a bottle of potassium pills. Keep them in your system. He has to do this especially in the summer.

    2. Drink A LOT of water if your doing hard labor work.

    3. If he still cramps, then the best way we have found to stop them quickly, is to eat a spoonful of mustard. I know that is a little gross, but it works. Someone told us about that a long time ago, and it does seem to help them ease up and stop rather quickly.

One thing very important to remember is that your heart is also a muscle. If he does like Jason and the cramps attack several muscle areas at once, and you can't make them stop, then it can happen to the heart also. Don't let the cramping continue for long. If it doesn't stop quickly, it is very important to go to the ER and let them put an IV in you to re-hydrate you. Jason has had to do this a couple of times (usually when he has forgotten to take his potassium for a couple of days and they are no longer in his system).

I hope this helps. Jason has done this all of his life, and also used to take the quinine. They always helped him too, and we were at a loss when they took those off the shelf.

that is what I was going to say.

  3. Ok, so i got a flyer a couple weeks ago saying santa would be at the corner of 92 and dallas highway. Pics and pony rides for 10.00. I have seen the set up but haven't seen santa! Argh. And yes, i am a procrastinator BUT i haven't gone to the mall bc we really don't have that kind of money. Anyone else seen santa hanging out locally in front of a camera?? :)

I seen him there this afternoon.

  4. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have a little boy who is just 6 weeks shy of his 3rd birthday. He is totally uninterested in potty training or sleeping in his own room! Not to say that I don't love it when he sneeks into my bed and sleeps with me, but at this point, i need the space back in my bed, I'm as big as a house and once the baby gets here....it's gonna be quite cramped having the 4 of us in a queen size!

I have not really pushed the potty training issue on him too much because he just hasn't been ready, so i thought seeing as how he's about to be three we should try and make it fun for him and see how it goes. He HATES wearing a dirty pull up, as soon as he goes, he wants it off. He has a singing potty that he only likes because he can make it sing, doesn't want to sit on it...and i made 2 potty charts; one for him and one for his teddy bear. I put a pair of undies on the teddy bear. I will ask hayden every hour if he has to potty, he answers no, then i will say that the teddy bear has to go. We both go in the bathroom, put teddy on the potty, act excited and then we put a sticker on teddy's potty chart. Hayden has become more excited about putting stickers on the bears chart! my plan backfired! so i try to get him to sit down and he just wont have it!

    Any suggestions????

Is he tall enough to stand up like the "big boys"?

If so, tell him to make bubbles.

and then reward him with 1 M&M.

    And when he goes poop,

    tell him to make turtles,

and then reward him with 2 M&M's.

This what worked with my lil man.

  5. Him snapping at the baby/correcting himself and walking away does not quite mean he is going to maul the baby but it is definetly something we need to correct/address/observe/etc. I will by no means leave any of my children unsupervised with fred at this point.

Labmom/psychomom/solosoul....how can the baby show fred that he is over him? He is still to young to issue commands/feed treats/etc

You have 4 kids, 3 dogs, and I forget the number of cats...

there is NO way you can supervise the animals and kids at all times!!

Just get RID of the dog before he bites or mauls your baby!!!!

  6. When my daughter had oral surgery a few months ago, They wrote her 3 scripts that counteracted one another. I just threw them in the trash -_- Somehow she healed up just fine without a single problem. Imagine that <_< We don't do drugs in our home .. prescription or not. America is over medicated and you can thank the rich, greedy pharmaceutical companies for it.

soo... you are saying she didn't even have anything for pain?? :(
