As to the transportation of the deceased; I would like to see bids placed for this service by companies that are licensed, bonded, and insured. This is the only way to ensure that the county gets the most service for its money. According to a recent post by Hope Hamilton/Legal Shield the cost for transportation of the deceased is $275.
