  1. I drove home in a downpour so I'll be cleaning all day, dammit. Oh, well. Next week is downtown Cartersville and the Saturday after is Wendy's at 120 and Barrett. I'll post to remind you, celeste.

Sorry PSD, I missed another one. :p Micky Thompsons and 540 cubic inches...don't mix with rain. :D :D

You'll have to come up by me next weekend to go to Cartersville, so maybe we can cruise up there together? I'll shoot you an email later in the week.

  2. Come on out. Bring your car/truck to show off or just come on out to take a look. Main Street, downtown Acworth. See you there.

Hey PSD...sorry we missed each other in Dallas last weekend. That was the first time I had been out in the Nova in a long while.

I may bring out the Ford this weekend...We'll see what little Grounded says.

Isn't Powder Springs cruise night this up coming weekend too?

  3. Hey, I am thinking about getting a C4 (1988 - 1996) Corvette... I was wondering HOW reliable they are... Do they have any problems in general? What kind of mileage limit can I expect on one? Also, how expensive are they to maintain?

    Thanks in advance...

You need to PM PowderSpringsDad. If he can't inform you, he has friends/connections that can.... B)

  4. I grew up in Cobb (graduated in 1990). My early days of cruising were at the Dairy Queen off South Cobb Dr. Then I remember cruising MCD in Kennesaw, Kennesaw MTN, and the early existance of Barrett Pkwy. We later migrated towards cruising in Powder Springs and then to the Plaza in Paulding.

We used to make many weekend night runs through Paulding and out to Cedartown. We would then go just across the Alabama line to street race at Turkey Foot.

  5. Think about it though..if their b-day is in February, their sticker says February. Chances are good they won't get pulled over or checked out until March. Wait and go Tuesday.

Nope! My BD is February 11th. I got a ticket last evening from Marietta PD. He ran my tag at a redlight, and then pulled me over. His first comments were "I pulled you over because your tag expired on your birthday". :p

  6. I agree that it's a buyer's market. :p I bought a new home (new construction) when the prices/incentives were too good for me to pass up back in Sept 07.

Also, pending final agreement on the inspection report (repairs) and appraisal....my current home that is for sale, went under contract in 30 days!!! B)

  7. Has anyone seen the signs at the intersection of Seven Hills Blvd and Cedarcrest Rd? They list a development called "The Boulevard at Seven Hills". Specs: total 150,000 Sq Ft plus 10 out parcels. I researched the BOC minutes and saw nothing about this project. I wonder if the project is legitimate or are these land owners just fishing for potential buyers.

I've seen the signs. 100,000 sq ft + 6 outparcels on one side of the intersection and 50,000 sq ft + 4 out parcels on the other.

  8. I have always loved these 'stangs - simple lines none of that extra GT trim that was so popular in that time frame, lots of power. Those Cobra rims are a nice touch, they really fit the car.

Thanks. I love the fox body coupes. This one I am saving for my son. (he turned 7 yesterday) :D

  9. I am happy to say that today, a good friend, submitted his intention to run for Sheriff of Paulding County. He is a 15 year veteran of the Marietta Police Department and is a good, honest, and hard working public servant. He is also a long time resident of this county who wants to see our Sheriff's Department reach it's full potential.

Contrary to what he said on the I-Team report, Sheriff Harris IS planning on running again. It is time for some positive change in this county and Steve Kish is a HUGE step in that direction.

I will be working hard for Steve Kish for Sheriff and I welcome any and all help from those of you who want to see a safer, cleaner, drug-free Paulding County.

Mr. Kish has my and my wife's vote! :D
