I will apologize for the stupidity of some of these responses. It is amazing how people on here can jump the gun or assume all sorts of things and are more than happy to voice an opinion that would have been better kept to themselves. You should be able to ask questions and get helpful answers or advise instead of this crap. I hope you got my PM and I hope it has information you can use or at least gets you going in the right direction. I think there are some on here who have never heard..."if you don't have anything nice to say, then keep your mouth shut" before. Totally amazing. Be

I know. I would say more like months, especially if her husband is trying to make it difficult. I am in the process of a divorce right now. If she is in Paulding, tell her it will be a long time. Nothing quick about a Paulding divorce. The judges in Paulding typically do not hold a hearing for temporary support even when a divorce petition has been filed unless there is some type of abuse. I tried to get a temp hearing so that I could get some support for my kids. I was told we had to go to mediation first. So it's up to my husband as to how much, if any he wants to give me until we mediate. I

Thanks, I needed to hear that.

If he was reliable and sane I might consider this and actually did that with my oldest and her dad 13 years ago. He was older and owned a home and business so I thought at the time he was the better parent. Things changed over the years and she has been living with me for the last 6-7 years and she rarely sees her dad and he doesn't give me any child support for her. That is another thing on my "to do" list. That wasn't a big deal before b/c my husband made enough that we never needed anything from him, but now that I am getting divorced I need him to help pay to take care of her. Without

I believe he is going to attempt to file bankruptcy after it's final. However there is a 401 that has enough in it that it should cover everything he should be required to pay. I am going to ask that the money comes from the 401 and not payment. He was planning to file with Debt Resolve to lower his credit card payments, but has been telling them he needs to wait a little longer. The thing is there wouldn't be any credit card debt if it wasn't for him and his actions over the last year. He bought a truck, 4 wheeler, PS3, laptop, and recently bought a new iphone, but can't give me squat fo

That's, I'll do that.

I was willing to work everything out so it would go quickly, but I will not be flexible when it concerns the safety of my children.

That is what I was afraid of...I just want it to be OVER.

You are correct. It is Gettle. Thanks Madea.

I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experiences with Paulding County Mediator's and if so, who would you recommend? Why? How many hours did you end up mediating? Is there a set amount of hours they require before they can determine mediation is not going to resolve the matter? Both attorney's agreed on Linda Nettles. However, she does not have an appointment available until Oct 5th. My husband hasn't giving me any money since July 27th to help support our kids and what little I had access to is gone, used to paybills. Ms. Nettles bills at $200/hour, which seems alittle steep t

I usually do alot of resrearch on various sites before I go anywhere. Trip advisor seems to have alot of info and is a good place to start. Just from my personal experience at Xel-ha, we booked a tour through our resort the first time and drove ourselves the last few times and it was much cheaper that way. Plan to spend the whole day so you get you monies worth. It is expensive if you book as a tour. You can shop around and buy your ticket before you even leave or at least price it before you leave so you know if you are getting ripped off or not. Trip advisor review of Xel-ha Xel-ha

I always do all inclusive when I go to Mexico. I agree that tipping every day is not necessary. We usually end up with a "regular" waiter or bartender and we tip lightly the first day and let them know that we will leave a big tip our last day and tell them what day we are leaving. That has usually worked out great for us. About the excursions...I would say, rent a car and drive down the coast on the main highway to Xel-ha. It's much cheaper or you can take the bus...which is really inexpensive if your feeling adventrous. The resort should be able to give you the info on which bus and tim

Perotta said his consult fee was $150. I hear he is great for what I need. Mr. Lovett, in the same office, did a free consult with me in mid-June and seemed to be professional, conpasionate about my situation and willing to help. I'm just having a hard time getting back in touch with him. I have sent 2 e-mails and left a voicemail within the last 3 weeks. I'm trying not to jump the gun, but this concerns me. I don't have to money to give away to someone that promises one thing but does another. Like I said, trying not to jump the gun, but my situation is getting very urgent and I can't wait

Thanks for the responses. At my meeting with Bucci, It seemed to me that he was sympathetic to my husband and I know if seems sympathetic to him now that he could not possibly do what is best for me and the kids. I just wasn't sure if I read him all wrong or not.

Has anyone used either of these attorney's before? I have met with both of them (divorce/child custody) and I am trying to decide which one will have the best interest of my kids in mind and one that will get this over as quick as possible. I appreciate any useful information or if anyone has any other suggestions. Please don't make any assumptions about my situation. I have stayed in this marriage for a year knowing it was over but trying to do what is best for everyone. I'm not trying to be unreasonable or unfair and there is alot of issues I am dealing with. Husband of 15 years said he
