  1. Can anyone tell me what the team colors are for the elementary schools? Can you tell my kid hasn't made it that far yet? lol I was looking on elementary school sites but haven't found anything. Thanks for any help!

  2. I can't figure anything out but after looking at pictures I'm voting for him too. Other one just creeps me out. Where do we go to do this vote? Sorry not to hijack the thread or anything. I spent forever trying to figure out where to vote last time and was so irritated I almost didn't vote. Don't want to waste more gas on bad directions again hehe Last time I had to vote at some elementary school 20 mins from my house....which irritated me because I live less than a mile from Union Elementary pffht!

  3. I only ever get to skim through posts so if I don't make sense blame it on my kids ;) I'd love to hear about stuff....I've always liked that. I'm torn between being excited about all the new stores and being upset. I love my Starbucks but I also love seeing farms and land....and even the old falling down houses. Wish before the developers tore everything up that I could grab any interesting plants and do some digging for hidden treasure. At my Great Grams one year the river in the back dried up so my moms mom and I would dig in there and find all sorts of weird stuff and then some not so weird stuff like nail polish bottles from the 50's or so.....I am sounding weird now huh haha

  4. Quick random post from me....Sodamn Insane.....haha I was laughing so hard at that I just about spit my coffee out!!!

About voting on the 8th....can someone tell me which candidate supports the death penalty? I am trying to read both sites but with toddlers its near impossible

About Tex.....he is very nice! I've met him before and he was always kind and didn't seem to mind the fact that my toddler was in a terrorizing mood lol

  5. I'm on dialup so I don't dare watch a video haha How does someone join the historical society? I love all of this type of stuff. I'm odd I know, I also find abandoned houses interesting...the old ones that are almost taken over with kudzoo..I always think about how it looked when people loved it and lived there and what the people must have been like. Yes now you all know how odd I am lol

  6. ASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love old cemetarys too (ok I know I spelled that so wrong lol) I want to go and take pics of this super old one in Villa Rica. Kinda tucked into an area and seems easy to miss it if you don't look for it. We'd love a walking partner or even anyone to get together with. I'm going to send you a PM if i can figure out how to get there lol

  7. Oh man I look horrible but atleast not as bad as usually haha The lil guy is still loving his badge and wears it proudly out and about. We had fun, it was nice meeting you guys!!! Lil guy asked later when we got home if we could do it again the next day ahahahaha He loves walking on the SCT. What happened is so sad but it won't keep us away. We won't be going alone anymore and we now will be sure to carry a few cans of Aquanet and a fork or two ;)

All the Coppermine talk is so interesting! I'm all for going and recovering lost history ;)

  8. Hey there :) I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this...when is registration....how much...where i can find info or who I can call? lol Thanks! I've got a few numbers to try and will do so later today but just incase I don't find any thing out it'd be nice to have some input here so I don't go off and cry in a corner hehe j/k on that one!

    Thanks Much!

  9. Thanks for info on zoning...also some northerners want land ...that's something not available up north...If you have a driveway you are lucky..and to talk to your neighbor all you have to do is open the window

I may be late commenting on this but to me it seems that the houses in subdivisions are being built closer and closer together. Some right on top of each other. I worry about what we'll do in 5 years when we decide to move....probably won't be able to find a house with a yard let alone land. I guess thats great if thats what you want.......

Personally I'd hate living in a home so close to another....only perk of that I can see is if you are in the bathroom and run out of toilet paper you can shout across to your neighbor to toss you a roll. :p

  10. Hope this turns out in the peoples favor, wouldn't it be great to be able to buy a house and not have to worry about it falling apart in a year? haha I'd be horrified of what someone would say if they inspected ours since I live in a cheap neighborhood with lil starter homes......these homes were built so basic so I'm sure the work that went into them was minimal. Infact someone in my neighborhood said the builder who built these homes got into some trouble over it (something about work not being done and not being done irght) though I'm not 100% sure. Would be interesting to find out.

  11. I'd like to add that we purchased our home a few years back. Before we purchased it it had gone through a home inspection in which we were told everything was fine. Shortly after moving in it had rained pretty well and we noticed water damage on the wall in the garage. My father in law came out to take a peek at it and noticed right away the deck was not put on the right way. He builds homes btw. He had said something about how the deck was put on after the siding...or maybe before I dont remember exactly what he said but it was put on and water was getting into the walls and causing damage. There was also much damage to the floor near the door to the deck and the door frame from prior rains. None of this was picked up by the home inspector and now will cost us much to repair.

  12. This is something worth taking into consideration as currently you may not be effected but there is no telling as to what may happen in any of your future home purchases or those of relatives, friends etc

I think if we all work together as a community we can only improve things here but if we all just sit around and hope someone else will do it then we are wasting our time. You have no right to complain about something if you don't help to change or resolve it!

So come up, take a step! Use about 10 cents worth of printer ink and print it out. Show that you have a voice!!!
