When I was young he would stop and camp close to Leathers Truck Stop on 78 in Villa Rica and everyone would ride by to see him. "The Good Old Days, when life was easy!!"

Grades posted on the internet site are starting to look strange, anyone elese seeing something odd going on with their childs grades? My sons grade dropped 2 points without any new grades added and he made higher than his avg. grade on the EOCT!!

Not meant to be a silly question, but doesn't the county get the equipment and uniforms? (obviously, I don't have kids in high school)
These are some rought numbers. At PCHS the football team is given $13,000 by the school. First $4,000 is spent to do state mandated rework of helments, next $4,000 to pay referee's. That leaves $3,000 to buy equipment for players, mediclal supply's etc. It cost about $650 to out fix each player. This is why it is sooo important to help the touchdown clubs raise money.

Was anyone watching at the beginning? When they did the Pledge of Allegiance did the the guy leading the Pledge not say "under God"? I wish I had been tapeing, something sounded strange.

Spring Practice starts Monday 5/8 at PCHS!!
If you have a child playing please support the Touchdown Club! It takes more money than the county gives to run the football program. Its not money the club needs, its your YOUR time to help raise money. You tell your child they have to spend THEIR time to be a better football player, well you need to spend YOUR time to make a better Touchdown club.

Be aware that when you leave the Dollar General you can only turn right (back toward Dallas). I wonder how many tickets will be given out for left turns? Poor planning IMO!

Doyal"s and Son (old time Feed Store) in Villa Rica sell's a good bit of sulfur each year for this very reason. Cant hurt to try.

Henbit:
Henbit is a winter annual with square stems and pink-purple flowers, reaching 16 inches in height. Its leaves are opposite, reaching 5 inches in length, circular to heart-shaped, with hairs on the upper leaf surfaces and along the veins of the lower surface. Leaf margins have rounded teeth. Stems root at the lower nodes, are square in cross section and are covered with downward-pointing hairs. Flowers are pink to purple in color and are fused into a tube approximately 2/3 inch long.

I was told at Church yesterday that another long time family farm was sold off and a new subdivison is going in on BOTH sides off the road. If things continue as they are now Yorkville will soon be a town as big as Dallas and Hiram!!!

Anyone watch Date Line tonight? Everyone with kids need to check were their kids are going on line. There are two web sites I know kids in PC Middle and High School are using, Xanga and My Site. Kids put to much info on these web sites trying to be "COOL". The FBI has caught preditors on these sites looking for kids! Check your kids computer!!

Trying to find out if a player you had is signing with a college in 2 weeks. I dont know his name for sure but I think it is Danny Hollifield, his parnets own Quality Service Tire on 278 near Yorkille. Before football season he had gotten several letters from colleges!
