HIRAM, GA 30141 770-445-7133 FAX 770-505-7273 Green Mr. Robert L. “Bob†Green, age 84, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2007. He was born on November 23, 1922 in Brandywine, GA to the late Joseph Franklin and Ola Flora Hardin Green. Bob joined the Army on July 4th 1942 and served honorably in the 101st Airborne until the end of WW II. He was retired from the M. C. Watson Company where he made many friends as a route salesman throughout metro Atlanta. Mr. Green was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Hiram. Surviving are his wife, Florence Strickland Green of Hiram; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Michael Green of Cloudland, GA, David Lee & Debra Green of Kennesaw, GA, Daniel C. & Kathy Green and their daughter, Kaitlin Green, all of Philadelphia, PA and Andrew Hardin Green of Lilburn, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Joe Frank Green of Franklin, N.C. and John & Bessie Green of Clarksville, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bill Talbot of Marietta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Dr. Tim Walker officiating. The interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. I've known him since he & Florence were dating...The were a great couple...in fact she has had 2 wonderful husbands in my opinion....Bob was a true Southern Gentleman & will by sadly missed by many..prayers to all family & friends Link to post Share on other sites
