Mrs. Mary Sue Hamilton Callahan, age 68 of 1090 Braswell Mountain Road, Rockmart, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006.

 

Mrs. Callahan was born March 19, 1938 in Greenway, Arkansas, daughter of the late Clair Roe Oats Hamilton and the late Robert Orbrey Hamilton. She was a former employee of Old Fashion Foods, and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Callahan was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Joyce Medeiros.

 

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Eddie Callahan, to whom she was married January 18, 1976; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky & Mark White of Hiram; three sisters, Mrs. Jean Hager, Mrs. Dean Morris, and Mrs. Betty Runyon, all of Missouri; two brothers, Garland Hamilton and Bill Hamilton both of Missouri; two grandchildren, Travis and Shawna White also survive.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, November 5th in the Chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Turner officiating, and a eulogy will be given by Mrs. Luanne McMahann. Interment will follow in Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 4th, between the hours of 10 AM and 12 Noon, and between the hours of 6 and 8 PM.

 

Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sue Hamilton Callahan.
