Clark Funeral Home Posted February 20, 2020 Report Share Posted February 20, 2020 Regenia Ann Gunter, 82, of Woodstock, GA passed away on February 20, 2020. She was born on July 12, 1937 in Carrollton, GA. Mrs. Gunter was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Kennesaw, GA. She worked for more than 12 years at Verizon, formerly Contel Communications. She is predeceased by her husband, Waymon James Gunter, and her parents Emory Samuel Simpson and Carrie Lee Payne Simpson. She is survived by one daughter Sandy Smith of Woodstock, GA. She is also survived by her brothers Curtis Simpson and his wife Edna of Dallas, GA and Sam Simpson and his wife Carol of Jasper, GA. She was blessed with two grandchildren Brian Gainey and his wife Alison, and Casey McGill and her husband Tim, as well as three great-grandchildren Rose Gainey, Addison McGill, and Samuel McGill, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram, GA. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, February 22 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
