Lady Raider
No school for students and staff tomorrow, Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Only annual employees and custodians report for work tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. A decision on extracurricular activities will be announced tomorrow. School district staff, government services, and utility services have worked diligently throughout this unprecedented weather event to ensure that our schools are ready for students. However, we continue to have concerns including: • secondary road conditions in some areas of the county,• no water service to two schools (no estimate of repair time),• and a boil water advisory for four schools. We are also aware that many of our staff, students, and families are without water and electrical service. Again given these concerns and the uncertainty over when services will be restored, we will not have school for students and staff tomorrow, Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Only annual employees and custodians will report for work tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
mojo413
Just an observation here... I'm a little surprised to read on the School website & Facebook page custodians are instructed to work tomorrow. I thought a couple or three years ago custodial services were outsourced to a contractor. I would think that contractor would be expected to communicate work schedules to their employees. I'm not trying to start anything, the wording of the notification caught my attention & seemed a little odd to me.
lowrider
As an aside, I know I’ve seen a particular custodian at my grandsons school that looks like a murderer. I really hope they screen these contractors. And I know looks mean nothing but he really is creepy.
