Funeral Director Posted February 18, 2013 Report Share Posted February 18, 2013 (edited) Mr. Franklin Dee Swafford, Sr., age 67 of Dallas passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Swafford was born on November 22, 1945 in Atlanta, GA,the son of the late Allen Eugene Swafford and Ethyl Mae Thomas Swafford. Mr. Swafford was a self-employed painter and was a member of the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. In addition to his parents,he is preceded in death by three brothers, Rev. J. B. Swafford, Edward Swafford, and Albert Swafford. Mr. Swafford is survived by his wife, Lois Elaine Blankenship Swafford; daughter, Shelia (Mark) Slocum of Suffolk, VA; two sons, TimothySwafford and Franklin Dee Swafford, Jr., both of Dallas; six grandchildren, Nikkie Swafford, Tara Slocum, Mark Slocum, Jr., Rissa Slocum, Paige Swafford,and Franklin Swafford, III; four great grandchildren, Ansleigh Smith, Mark Slocum, III, Landon Smith and Kai Verett; five sisters, Lois Allen of Dallas, Betty Bailey of Blue Ridge, Opal Brooks of Temple, Ann Blankenship of Dallas,and Ethel Bailey of Temple; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services for Mr. Swafford will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Full Life Gospel Ministries, 102 Saber Parkway, Villa Rica, GA 30180 with Pastor Johnny Hightower officiating.
