gpatt0n
A quick civics lesson on how to see the political map No 'politics' in this one, just a lesson on how the nation looks when you take into consideration population and also campaign spending.Fact is, considering that roughly $2 billion will have been spent on the 2012 campaign in just a few states, we as Georgians' might consider becoming a two-party state if for no other reason, we'd have a big spending boost every election cycle. How much?As the video shows, a competitive state has typically between two and five dollars a voter pumped into its local economy. With Georgia having more than the 3,924,440 voters that cast ballots in 2008, that would mean between $10-20 million coming into the state in just the general election. Of course there is a downside. We'd have to forego our fosamax and depends commercials and instead would be fed a steady diet of new lies from all sides that we could, I'm sure, ignore with ample amounts of indignation.
