Funeral Director Posted October 25, 2011 Report Share Posted October 25, 2011 Mr. Gary Stephen Guffey, Jr. age 19 of Dallas, GA. passed away on October 24, 2011 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Gary was born on January 22, 1992, the son of Mr. Gary Stephen Guffey, Sr. and Mrs. Pamela Haygood Guffey. He worked as a mechanic with heavy equipment service repair. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, truck mudding and bonfires. He was a graduate of East Paulding High School Class of 2011. He was affiliated with Fortified Hills Baptist Church. Gary is survived by his parents Mr. Gary Stephen Guffey, Sr. and Mrs. Pamela Guffey of Dallas, GA. One brother, Justin Sowders of Acworth, GA.; Maternal grandparents, Peggy and B. C. Haygood of Dallas, GA. Paternal grandmother, Fran Guffey of Woodstock, GA., aunts, uncles, cousins and many other beloved family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Gordon Guffey. Funeral services for Mr. Gary Stephen Guffey, Jr. will be conducted on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2pm in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home. Pastor Dewey Davidson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 7pm – 9pm, Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 9am – 9pm, and Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 9am until time of service.
