Buttermilk Pie, Punch bowl cake, chicken tuscalini

Thanks! I had some punchbowl cake once, but was told it was also called "Dump" cake and that did not sound appealing at all :blush:

hey, sounds good...and I also agree, great marketing!!!

 

(*and are all these recipes in the same cookbook?)

PUNCHBOWL CAKE

 

1 box yellow cake mix

1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained

2 bananas, sliced

2 sm. boxes instant vanilla pudding

1 can coconut

1 (16 oz.) pkg. pecans

1 can cherry pie filling

2 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

1 jar maraschino cherries

 

Crumble cooked and cooled cake. Layer half of cake crumbs in clear punch bowl. Top with one half of pudding one half of pie filling, one half of pineapple, 1 banana, 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip. May put coconut and pecans also, saving enough for garnish. Then repeat layers with remaining halves. Refrigerate. Serves 24.

Thanks for the recipe, I did use to make that but it was called "Dump Cake" because you dumped it all in the punch bowl.

Makes me want to find a punch bowl now!
