afriendlygeek
Windows 7 is a much better operating system than Vista. Vista is a real pig when it comes to utilizing your hardware efficiently. If you would like to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium, I have a deal for you. For only $150 I will do a clean install of Windows 7 on your system. (This price requires you to deliver and pickup the computer. I will pick up and deliver for an additional fee). This price includes a genuine copy of Windows 7 from Microsoft which is priced at $120 at Best Buy. I can also do an upgrade from XP, but find that most people that have XP prefer to stick with it. Also - I can usually downgrade a computer from Vista to XP.
Riograce
At risk of sounding ignorant, what is a 'clean install?' Would it preserve my personal files, photos, bookmarks, etc.?
afriendlygeek
At risk of sounding ignorant, what is a 'clean install?' Would it preserve my personal files, photos, bookmarks, etc.? That's my fault - I should have explained. A clean install means that I will not just do an upgrade to Vista, but rather completely erase the drive and then install Windows 7. Performing an upgrade is like changing a tablecloth with all of the dishes on the table. It can be done, but the chances are something will be broken in the process. As far as your personal files go, I will copy them over to a external drive before erasing your drive.
afriendlygeek
I will also sell Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade for $100 if you prefer to do your own install.
