Clark Funeral Home Posted November 18, 2009 Report Share Posted November 18, 2009 Frances Louise Brooks, age 82, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. She was born December 18, 1926 in Macon, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Milton Birdsong, Sr. & Elizabeth Mae Causey Birdsong; brother, Elijah Milton Buddy Birdsong, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Peggy Hildebrand Birdsong. Mrs. Brooks began her working career at Bell Aircraft in Marietta, GA, during World War II. Later she worked for Estee Lauder Cosmetics as an Atlanta Representative. She returned to school after her children were grown and worked at Cobb General Hospital in nursing until retiring to spend more time with her husband, children, and grand-children. She was an avid decorator. Mrs. Brooks was a member of the First Methodist Church of Macon. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Johnny Albert Brooks; sons & daughters-in-law, Danny & Chris Brooks of Powder Springs, GA, David & Kelly Brooks of Dallas, GA, and Randy Brooks of Dallas, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Phyllis & Tony Eubanks of Rockmart, GA; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, November 20, 2009, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens, with Timothy Brooks, Jonathan Brooks, Will Brooks, Ken Rainey, Kyle Rainey, and Ricky Viars serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
