Fundraisers this week!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! on Monday July 13th, Tuesday July 14th and Wednesday July 15th from 4 to 9 Texas Roadhouse in Hiram is having a Fundraiser for "Community Makeover" which is part of "Engage Atlanta".

This is for a great cause. This group has helped so many people in Paulding County. They have delivered food to Police and Fire Stations. They have helped out local charities with building repair. They help out local residents with house repair and landscape. This is just naming a few!

10% of sales will go back to Community Makeover so maybe they can do even more next year!

Also on those nights, we are collecting backpacks and school supplies to help support "A Fresh Hope". This was a charity started by a nine year old girl. Her goal is to deliver 2500 backpacks to children and families that otherwise do not have the money to buy these items. Let's help her reach that goal and then some!! (Walmart in Dallas has started their school supplies sales)

Her website is www.afreshhope.com.

So if you are planning on dining at Texas Roadhouse soon, please try to come in on one of these nights!

Be sure to tell your server or a manager that you are there for Community Makeover!

Please call Texas Roadhouse with any questions!

Ask for Angie or Pete!

Just heard this morning that over 32 churches are now involved with Community Makeover! There were 8 churches last year and the Sam's parking lot was packed with 4000-5000 people! Can't wait for the gathering August 2nd--it will be beyond amazing!

I know WestRidge alone has over 1500 people signed up for community projects and there are many others who have projects planned that have not officially signed up. That's just one church out of 32! There will literally be thousands of people working together this one weekend for hurting & needy people of the area, as well as schools, parks and other community needs.

Your church does not have to be involved for you to get involved with CM. You can go to www.communitymakeover.net and find out what is going on and how you can jump in.
