Funeral Director Posted June 27, 2009 Report Share Posted June 27, 2009 Mrs. U. V. (Marcy) New age 88 of Dallas, Georgia passed away on June 26, 2009 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Unit. Mrs. New was born on February 13, 1921 in Paulding County the daughter of the late John Clark Dodd and Martha Elizabeth “Lizzie” Forsyth Dodd. She was employed as a cook at Wellstar Paulding Hospital for many years. Mrs. New was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and sister. Mrs. New is survived by her husband of 34 years Mr. George A. New of Dallas, Ga.; a son and daughter in law, Mr. & Mrs. James (Irma) Morris of Dallas, Ga.; 3 daughters and son in laws, Mr. & Mrs. James (Sue) Creek of Dallas, Ga., Mrs. Mable Glaze of Dallas, Ga., Mr. & Mrs. James ( Deborah) Ward of Dallas, Ga.; 2 sisters, Mrs. L. E. Fields of Dallas,Ga., Mrs. Willie T. Turner of Dallas, Ga.; a brother, Mr. Lowell Dodd of Dallas, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many nieces an nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Mr. Alvie Bud Morris, parents, brothers, and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday June 29, 2009 at 2 pm from the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Hebert and Dr. Johnny Turner officiating. Interment will follow at the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4pm until 9pm and again on Monday from 11am until the service begins at 2pm.
