A Crack-up Event with The Cracker Queen

Recommended Posts

Lauretta Hannon, author of the History of Powder Springs book that so many of you have purchased at the store, will be reading from her new book " The Cracker Queen, A memoir of a Jagged, Joyful Life". Come out and give a listen to her on June 27th from 1 to 2:30pm. Books are available in the store now and on sale!.

First 10 people to purchase The Cracker Queen get a free Cracker Queen tote bag!

In THE CRACKER QUEEN, Hannon tells stories with sass, wit and a bit of southern charm. Her entertaining stories of Crazy Aunt Carrie, The Goat Man, her own Mama smuggling cigarettes to chain gangs, and the more unsavory part of Savannah will make you laugh, make you cry and make you toast Lauretta with a Pabst Blue Ribbon. Based on her NPR Commentaries for All Things Considered and her one-woman show, THE CRACKER QUEEN proves that not all southern families are created equal, but they do all know a thing or two about surviving hard times.

This sounds awesome :D

I hope you will join us on Saturday for this event. Lauretta just did an interview on 11Alive news and I wanted to share this with everyone. The Country Store is the building next to us, where Lauretta will be doing her reading. We have her book on sale at the store for a special price for everyone!
