Mark Steven Thomas, age 55, of Douglasville, GA., passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009. He was born on June 28, 1953, in Temple, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hershel Thomas and sister, Sheralynne Thomas. Mr. Thomas retired with 26 years of service with the United States Navy. He was employed with Lockheed-Martin in Marietta, GA., as an Electrical Engineer for the past 10 years.

 

Survivors include his son, Michael Cory Thomas of Douglasville; daughter, Jenna Farmer of Rockmart; mother, Lil Thomas of Lumberton, TX.; brother, Jay Herbert Thomas of Lumberton, TX.; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer & Michael Cato of Beaumont, TX.; grandchildren, Sieandra Thomas and Corey Thomas Farmer; one niece and one nephew.

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 4:00pm, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont TX, with Reverend Jason Thomas officiating. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
