GFC - Georgia forestry commission - the have a mall dozer that creates fire breaks needed in this case

 

 

engine 3 reports to GFC that there is about 1.5 acre involved, slow moving, but need dozer to create break

Are you sure it's Mt Tabor Park and not Picketts Mill ? I mapped it and it was closer to Picketts Mill .

I agree with the map location - I could have mis-heard the Mt. Tabor Rd and "park" and combined.

I saw one of the GFC guys at work a few years ago. The place was full of smoke and I could swear that the dozer/tractor was on its side, but he cut a break around the large fire as station 6 worked to keep it from a house. I was impressed.
