bensonfh Posted July 29, 2008 Report Share Posted July 29, 2008 Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Ratteree Thaxton age 74 of Dallas, passed away on Tuesday July 29, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Thaxton was born on August 16, 1933 in Paulding County, Georgia to the late Mr. Glen Ratteree and the late Mrs. Maudie White Ratteree. Mrs. Thaxton was retired from Coca-Cola as a secretary, and most recently worked for Wal-Mart as a door greeter. Services for Mrs. Thaxton will be held on Thursday July 31, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Benson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Voyles officiating and a Eulogy given by her Sister-In-Law Mrs. Joan Ratteree. Interment will follow in the Yorkville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. Survivors include: Daughter: Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy (Treshia) Lindsey of Rockmart,Ga. Granddaughter: Mr. & Mrs. Mark (Vanessa) Woodard of Cedartown, Ga. Grandson: Mr. & Mrs. Nickey (Tina) Lindsey of Rockmart, Ga. 3 Great Grandchildren Sister: Mr. & Mrs. Wayne (Wanda) Callahan, of Dallas, Ga. Brother: Mr. & Mrs. Tony (Joan) Ratteree of Dallas, Ga. Several Nieces & Nephews Preceded In Death By: Parents: Mr. & Mrs. Glen (Maudie) Ratteree Sisters: Mrs. Ann Stoker & Mrs. Frances Taylor Brothers: Mr. Bobby "Big-O" Ratteree Mr. Phil Ratteree.
