jzajc
197 and 133 I think responding to suicide threats by a 36 year old female. Clarks and Rescue also alerted third party info from Smyrna. No specific method stated patient is conscious and breathing. Edited June 28, 2008 by JimmyZ
PsychoMom
I see these people way too often. I hope she gets the help she needs.
TabbyCat
I see these people way too often. I hope she gets the help she needs. Indeed. A "threat" is more often a cry for help. I agree--hopefully her threat will lead to help.
MamaJess
I agree....people who are serious about it usually do it without any warning...or so I've read.
PsychoMom
I agree....people who are serious about it usually do it without any warning...or so I've read. Not true. Usually they have told over and over about how bad they feel. Sometimes they don't tell, but usually it has been going on for a long while, and maybe several minor attempts building up to the biggie. You hear a threat, it isn't just for attention. It is a cry for help, and they need to get it. Don't take a chance on minimizing it and having to live with the "what ifs". MamaJess
No "what ifs" here. Life is too short to live like that.

But a person who is at the threat stage needs help. A person beyond the threat stage may just do it. That's all I meant.
jzajc
SO cancelled Fire/Rescue and Clarks. Not sure of the status though.

That's all I meant. Sorry. I wasn't jumping on anyone. The therapist jumped out of me when I saw this thread. I was talking about reading that people who threaten aren't serious. Thinking that they don't tell if they are serious. A lot of people die because someone thought that since they made the threat, they wouldn't go through with it. It is really hard on those who ignored the warning.
jzajc
I believe the subject of the threat was taken into custody and transported to the jail but not totally sure.
