197 and 133 I think responding to suicide threats by a 36 year old female. Clarks and Rescue also alerted third party info from Smyrna.

 

No specific method stated patient is conscious and breathing.

Not true. Usually they have told over and over about how bad they feel. Sometimes they don't tell, but usually it has been going on for a long while, and maybe several minor attempts building up to the biggie. You hear a threat, it isn't just for attention. It is a cry for help, and they need to get it. Don't take a chance on minimizing it and having to live with the "what ifs".

Not what I meant at all.

 

But a person who is at the threat stage needs help. A person beyond the threat stage may just do it.

Sorry. I wasn't jumping on anyone. The therapist jumped out of me when I saw this thread. I was talking about reading that people who threaten aren't serious. Thinking that they don't tell if they are serious. A lot of people die because someone thought that since they made the threat, they wouldn't go through with it. It is really hard on those who ignored the warning.
