MarkPalm
That Emory Flight sure does get a lot of action. Isn't that twice today in Paulding alone? They were out here on Vinsont Mtn. in Polk Co a few months back when an 18 year old speeding down my road on a 4-wheeler missed a sharp curve and went into a creek bed off the side of the road. EF landed about 500 feet from my house in the pasture. Really wild. Emory flight on ground
FreeBird
I have heard of 4 air rescue services in the county at one time. Emory Flight 3, flying out of Cartersville airport, has quick access to all parts of the county. Rescue Air 1 out of McCollum Field in Cobb also is in Paulding when Emory is tied up. Just hope you never need their services - a flight is in the $7500 - 8000 range. The Battalion commander and engine 8 went in service - I believe the patient was being taken to Grady. Must have been a severe trauma to the back of the head.

Grady must charge more because almost 1 year ago exactly our youngest son was life flighted to Grady and when the bill came it was almost $11,000. That was from Highway 92 and Dragstrip road. My prayers are going up for this family.
