I work in Hiram by Office Max and the other day this man came into my workplace asking for spare change to pay for a taxi to Austell. This was at 10:15 in the morning. His story........He was just discharged from the hospital and had no family in the area to pick him up and take him home so he was trying to raise enough money to pay for a taxi.
Now let me explain why this struck me as ONE BIG FAT LIE!!!!!
1. This was at 10:15 in the morning. Being released from the hospital (most likely Paulding Hosp) and making it to the Office Max area in Hiram would mean that he was discharged at what.........3AM? I doubt that.
2. HE REAKED (sp) OF BEER!!!!!
I told him that I don't bring my purse to work because we have had problems with co-workers stealing from others.
I guess I told a lie too.

My daughter is graduating in May and is looking for a summer job until she leaves for college in the fall. She is not home right now or I would ask if she would be interested. If you could give me an idea of what you were willing to pay, I will ask her when she gets home tonight. She has babysat before and I am sure would have excellent references. The couple she babysits for are young with 4 children under the age of 4. Their only sane time is when they can get out one night on the weekend every so often.

Ah, I see. I've recently been diagnosed with this, too (though I think the exercise just makes it more noticeable for me). It only really occurs when the pollen is bothering me, in spring and late summer. I don't use an inhaler or anything (yet). Sucks.
Yes, it does suck. The pollen doesn't seem to bother me too much, however, the extreme humidity or blistering cold will also make me grab my rescue inhaler or require the use of the nebulizer machine. This is the main reason I go with the elliptical. I can get the same or even better workout than a treadmill in a fraction of the time. Even my doctor had recommended the elliptical over the treadmill for my situation. (barring the fact that my weight when I first started was not helping my asthma situation....since July I have lost 51 lbs between the elliptical 3 times a week and weight watchers).
-
Sounds like you need more toning than cardio, so the elliptical. (Though the treadmill is a good choice, too, especially if it has incline.)
"I walked for 30 minutes on a treadmill at 3 miles per hour and at a 3% incline..."
Come on, challenge yourself! And you can't trust those calorie calculations.
I have severe exercise induced asthma and arthritic knees..........3 miles per hour and 3% incline is a challenge for me.
The elliptical is extremely easier to my knees and a much better workout all in all.

I have been think about getting a treadmill or an eliptical. Which do you think gives you the best workout or is the best for a busy mom who is thin out the outside but is fat on the inside. I am the same weight I was in high school after three kids but I need to tone up. I have tried the gym membership thing and i wasted my money so I don't want to do that again. So what say you exercise folks?
Definately an elliptical. I walked for 30 minutes on a treadmill at 3 miles per hour and at a 3% incline.....burned 160 calories.
Same day I then worked out on an elliptical for 10 minutes at a level 4 resistance and burned 140 calories. Darn near the same amount of calories burned in one third the time.

It's snowing in southern Paulding county too in the Ridge Rd. area.

Thanks for the link, however, that is what steps I was taking yet none of the problem files would clear. I'm calling HP tomorrow as I tried to do a back up on my computer because it keeps telling me that I need to. When I did the back up, it stopped midway through saying that it could not continue because there was not enough disk space. Albeit, the 14% space that "was" remaining on my D drive is now 0% because of the failed backup. UGH!!!! The headache is getting bad again.
Thanks for all of your help though...it is appreciated!

Here is something on "Hibernation file clear" :

But be careful. If you let your system go into hibernation mode.
G. Wolf
Thanks GW, I will check out those sites.
However, got another questions.....Why should I be careful about letting my system go into hibernation? Not that I ever did intentionally. I usually put it in sleep mode if not shutting it down entirely. Is sleep mode the same as hibernation?
Thanks for your help.

I have the VISTA headache. Was wondering if anyone has a suggestion to the cure.
I have been trying to do a disk cleanup on my laptop. Something I have done a million and one times on my desktop (XP). Yet every time I do, everything clears out except for a few files I have never seen before and have no idea how they got there. The files are:
Hybernation file cleaner - using up 501MB
Setup log files - using up 27.4 MB
System error memory dump files - using up 113 MB
System archived Windows error reporting - using up 13.0 KB and
System queued Windows error reporting - using up 722 KB.
And WHY do I only have 14% space left on my D drive. I don't mess with the D drive. I always save things to my C drive.
This headache is slowing turning into a fever. I am concerned that in my altered state of mind due to the fever I might launch this laptop out the closest window or maybe run it over with my car. Please help as I am not financially capable of purchasing a replacement laptop once the fever is broken. I have wanted a laptop for so long that I would hate to see its demise.
Thanks

Corner of Brownsville and Hwy 92, South of Hiram. I need a place to go "EXERCISE" not workout. Is Jazzercise still in business??
Holdenbcc, the place in Villa Rica, is the pool for water aerobics? This would be good for my arthritis!
I don't ever see anything anymore about "jazzercise". However, I have noticed that the women's fitness place over by El Jalapeno's offers Aerobics, rebound?, and someone told me they started Taebo classes too.

We had one that was not so invisible. A neighbor of ours had an electrical wire around the perimeter of his backyard to keep his bulldogs in. We had a husky that should have been named Houdini. He would break through HUGE chains, spiked collars, dig under the fence, etc. etc........Our neighbor convinced us to wire the perimeter of our back yard and connect it to his. It was run by solar power. We weren't so convinced that it would work for us. HOWEVER, it did. "Houdini" got jolted a few times at first but learned quite quickly that he could not go near the fence or he would pay for it. Every once in a while "Houdini" would "check" the perimeter. We would hear a quick yelp and knew he was "just testing". That electrical fence was a blessing. Before when our dog would get loose, he would be gone for days...weeks. We never ad a problem with him getting loose again once the fence was put up. It was also great because we didn't have to feel so quilty for having him tied up in such a huge backyard.

Can you convert a cassette tape to a CD? I have one that I need to convert for a memory disc and didn't know if I could. Anybody know how?
Here is a website that I found. It is super easy and extremely cheap. The software needed can be downloaded to your computer for free. All it cost me was $8 to buy the audio cord and $15 for the blank cds at walmart. I have converted atleast 80 of my cassettes to cd. Best $23 I ever spent!

Cirrhosis of the liver, is misunderstood by the majority of the public. It is actually scarring on the liver caused from some other disease. Cirrhosis in itself is not a disease. It is the results of a disease. My husband has cirrhosis but due to Hep C. Doctors are always asking him if he is diabetic since he doesn't drink. Maybe her diabetes has caused this. Cirrhosis has to be extremely advanced before a transplant is needed.
This is very true. My grandmother had gall bladder surgery many years ago. During the surgery, the surgeon "knicked" her liver causing scarring. A few years later, she developed cirrhosis.

My son just got back from the pool. He saw the police up there. He asked what happened and all the officer would say was that a woman was unconcious from drinking too much. There was apparently a young child in the home while all of this was happening.
-
It was at bldg. 11. 2nd floor apt. Not sure which apt. though.

Does anyone know why the police and an ambulance are at St. Ives Apts? I saw a woman being put into the ambulance.

I didn't see the baby goose on BC Pkwy, however, I did see what seemed to be an extended family of geese at the intersection of BC Pkwyand 278 in the median. This was about 10AM this morning. Hope they are all ok, they were pretty close to the edge of the road and I had to merge to the right to prevent from hitting them.
