  1. Whitey, thank you for your thoughtful response.

I have spoken on more than one occasion to Mr. Avery. And he always has the "right" answers. And I agree, he is impressive.

However, having challenged him on his fb page and in return being more or less attacked by his supporters has led me to believe that it is very easy to know what answers it will take to convince a very leary constituency in Paulding County.

Truly, I just wish we had another choice. I think the best choices lost in the primary.

  2. For those of you thinking that Mr. Avery is a "very good and viable" candidate, can I ask why you believe this?

Do you not believe that he knows that Paulding County is a strong conservative seat? Could he not just be pulling an Obama and saying one thing and then intending on doing the complete opposite?

I am not a Paulette supporter. Nor am I trying to stir the pot. I am sincerely asking this question.

  3. Are you one of the Republicans that went to Avery's event last evening? The Commission Chairs did not meet in a debate in the last election and it did not seem to matter.

No, I did not attend that event. And I believe that the commission chairs could have also benefitted from a debate. I am not an Avery supporter. I just believe in a healthy debate and do not see why someone would not be willing to partake unless they have something to hide. Paulette is a well spoken woman, she should do well in a debate.

  4. Some of my republican friends will probably be mad at me for saying this.... but, here I go.

As the former secretary of the Paulding County Women's Club and an active campaigner in the 08 Presidential campaign, I think a debate is healthy and normal course of a campaign. I've not been very active lately because of personal reasons, so I am not in the loop on a lot of things but. However, I am concerned at Mrs. Braddock's seeming unwillingness to debate.

I would love to see a debate between Paulette and Will. I think it will be a great way for people to see what both candidates have to offer.

  5. Contact NY GAL. She posted that Sparkles was hiring. The car wash on 278 next to the Dairy Queen has had a sign out for quite a while that they are hiring. Chickfila is a great place for a teen to work. They are closed on Sundays. If your teen isn't picky they should be able to find a job.

  6. A little birdie told me that some were going to the Mexican place at the Kroger shopping center on 278 and 61 tomorrow.

(I get sooo tired of Mexican.)

But I think the person who started the thread up and left town. Don't know if there is still a plan or not.
