  1. 100% wrong. Loud music from a vehicle has always been against the law.

Let's look at the whole thing...

    40-6-14.

    (a) It is unlawful for any person operating or occupying a motor

vehicle on a street or highway to operate or amplify the sound

produced by a radio, tape player, or other mechanical sound-making

device or instrument from within the motor vehicle so that the sound

is plainly audible at a distance of 100 feet or more from the motor

    vehicle.

    (B) The provisions of this Code section shall not apply to any law

enforcement motor vehicle equipped with any communication device

necessary in the performance of law enforcement duties or to any

emergency vehicle equipped with any communication device necessary

in the performance of any emergency procedures.

© The provisions of this Code section do not apply to motor

vehicles used for business or political purposes, which in the

normal course of conducting such business use sound-making devices.

The provisions of this subsection shall not be deemed to prevent

local authorities, with respect to streets and highways under their

jurisdiction and within the reasonable exercise of the police power,

from regulating the time and manner in which such business may be

    operated.

    (d) The provisions of this Code section do not apply to the noise

made by a horn or other warning device required or permitted by Code

Section 40-8-70. The Department of Public Safety shall promulgate

rules defining "plainly audible" and establish standards regarding

the measurement of sound by law enforcement personnel.

    (e) A violation of this Code section shall be a misdemeanor.

My interpretation of this law is Joe Six pack with a loud speaker/horn amplifying the music/voice from an internal device/person, not just a loud car stereo... I wonder what a Mustang car radio sounds from 100 feet away? How close was the officer at first contact, possibly closer than 100 feet?

    I wonder what others think?

I also wonder if anyone here has been charge with a misdemeanor for driving around with a loud car stereo?

  2. I have a question about the chase. I have heard a lot of police districts won't do high speed chases for situations where it could seriously danger citizens. Does Paulding have any rules regarding that? It seems that unless there was a bigger reason other than no license and a loud radio, the chase seemed extreme. I am glad that no one else was hurt by his lack of a brain.

With that question posed, I have to say that guy is a complete idiot.

Excellent question... Last time I checked, playing loud music was not against the law, unless is late at night...

  3. The Airbus is totally fly by wire. There is only 1 cable in the entire airplane and that is the back up for the horiztal stabilizer.

I am not buying the frozen pitot tube story, the pilot has one for his airspeed indication. The co- pilot had one for his and there is a stby emergency one as well. Keep in mind that the pilot can tell his screen to read the co- pilots data and vice versa. What ever happened on that flight happened very suddenly. I can believe a fatigue failure of the v-stab in the turbulent storms.

I am with you on this one and might even add computer problems/over-correcting. I used to work in avionics many years ago and had training and testing with the A-320 and I experienced issues where I thought I was dead. Yes, this is an A-330 and bugs are fixed but I still think sometimes the damn plane is too smart....

What's your take on the reports from the Spanish pilots and the bright flash the observed...???

  4. Just fed the dogs... and I saw them do something I never caught before.

I always see Milton at the food dishes (each has their own food dish and share a water bowl), and I always thought he's such a d!ck... Gomez never gets to the food dish. Milton then takes food in his mouth, spits it back out on the floor and then eats the food one piece at a time. Gomez darts in and takes the food off the floor that Milton brought out.

Then Gomez took food out, spit it out, Milton tried to take some and Gomez went after him. Now Milton is sitting on the floor next to me looking up at me while Gomez eats.... turns out Gomez is the d!ck....

I like the names... Milton and Gomez... I can see a cartoon..."The adventures of Milton and A-hole Gomez" ... It's catchy...

My youngest dog does the same with her food... bowl-floor and sometimes the bowl-bed trick....

  5. Wow, that isn't good.

I wish I could stay and chat some more... But I gotta hit the sack  More work on the car tomorrow, I hope (hope hope hope!) to have it primered by around 5 P.M.

Also, if you need any help locating accessories/parts for the 10/22 or anything else for that matter you know where I work, shoot me an email (I answer most of the emails at the store) or give me a call or just message me on here and I'll see what I can do. ;)

    Anyway, night man!

    Will do... Later man...

  6. For international flights, that first class seat is pure gold. Pure gold.

True... It depends on the plane too..... A 747 = pure bliss, a 757 = it feels like business class. Have you ever been on one of the middle eastern or asian airlines...??? Now that is first class my friend...

  7. Sounds like the man sitting next to me when I went to London... He had an 8 hour conversation with the voices in his head. After complains by many, he was moved from business class to first class....go figure... or maybe, he was really smart and that was his plan to upgrade without paying for it......
