  1. I see your point. I guess what I was referring to is passing on information as an announcement (which could be taken as fact) rather than posting a question to get clarification.

Rather that "this is happening" stated as a fact which can scare people needlessly , "is this happening?" opens the question for all so that the information can explained or clarified.

You are right, it is easier to "post" and answer to clarify information to a mass audience. I do not work at a computer for most of the day so I do appreciate it when someone brings these posts to my attention so that I can try to get the information that is requested. Just want people to know that they are welcome to call or email as well. Some people are more comfortable with that or have individual issues and I want to encourage the communication. Thanks Blah

ah gotcha... are we talking school related calls or complaints in general? LOL
  2. For those of you that may still be confused, I think what trouble99 is trying to say is the billing was not done by Clark's but by an outside firm. I do believe Sam to be open and honest and yes, he probably would have opened his books to anyone that asked.

There was billing generated but not by Sam's office staff, is that right trouble99?

Ah, I get it now! Thanks for the clarification. :drinks:

In any event though, if the issue was known then something should have been done before it ran the guy into the ground. I know from my conversations that the office staff knew it was an issue and without billing, no one can survive. That should have been the most pressing issue to address every single day until it was resolved. Not three years later.

If anyone of you had every stepped foot in the business office you would know that his office personnel had not done billing in over 3 years! I believe whent this was started over and over again a open invitation was given to come by any time to see for yourself BUT NO not one of you stepped through that door and asked questions to some one who could answer them correct so from someone who has been there done that. If you dont know what you are talking about when you talk ill of others you need to learn some manners! Didnt your mama ever tell you JUDGE YOURSELF before you JUDGE others. No one knows the truth but the ones who work/worked there.

What the heck are you talking about? Stepped through what door? Clark's? If so, why would we? unsure.gif

  4. An ambulance service has to put in claims just like a doctor.

They have to get paid by the auto insurance company, medicare, medicaid, medical also.

You have no idea how hard it is to get this money. Sometimes you send in claim after claim for years. You have no idea how many people will take a settlement and blow it and you never see a dime.

They spend so much time trying to collect this money, they have claims on their books years old waiting on retroactive medicaid, and cases to be settled.

You have no idea because that is completely wrong in their case... It wasn't a matter of the insurance not paying, it was a matter of it never being billed. I WANTED it billed because I had met my maximum out of pocket and that is why I stayed on their butts about it. And this situation was not a rare one. I understand there are cases where they get screwed but you would think those people who repetitively ask for a billing to be processed over a year later would get some kind of priority.

ETA - I am not criticizing Mr. Clark, rather his choice of accounting folks....

I know $250K sounds like alot of money ... but with a county budget of over $50 million ... that don't seem like a whole lot of money to run an ambulance service. No wonder Clark was having fimamcial trouble.

Clark was a billing nightmare.... I know multiple people, myself included who requested to be billed for over a year. One person I know gave up after two years of asking! Clark only has their billing department to blame, not the county.

Because the employee couldnt tell me who was taking over ... so are you saying it is true that Clark is going out of business?

I have no idea, I just know normally if I hear things from an employee or third party/message board I would probably believe the employee. P.com is like the Enquirer, a hint of truth is there but expect the story to come out like the whisper game where it changes a little each time it's told! laugh.gifOh and welcome to p.com, watch our for the crazy ones like Lucky. bomb.gifrofl.gif

Sorry Icon ... didnt mean to offend. I had a family memeber transported by Clark ambulance and have no complaint. One of their employees told me that. I am new to Paulding and someone told me this was the forum to get some REAL answers!

I am thinking if an actual employee told you then I am confused why you thought it wasn't the real answer... unsure.gif

  8. Don't rule out a house because it doesn't have a fence. A smart landlord will realize if you come out good on the screening process sometimes the investment of a fence is the smartest choice for them! A fenced in yard would add value to their home. Never hurts to ask....

Be careful with those craigslist ads.

I've heard (and seen on the news) that there are a lot of fake ads for rentals.

(But you know, I've never understood people that hand over large amounts of cash to unseen landlords)

Also check with Bill of Tri County Realty - super nice, hard working guy.

    Here's the website:

The key to responding to Craigslist ads is to not use the phone number on the ad, look the company up and call the number on their website. Or if it is an individual google the tax records and make sure the name matches before you give them the deposit. Only give cash if you verified this information and asked for identification from individuals.

  9. Is this the one in front of the park at cedrcrest subdivision where the Italian restaurant was?

Yep... I am not sure what everyone is raving about. We went twice and it was horrible service both times and the food wasn't even remotely on the leel of the Marietta Diner. It probably would have been "ok" had it not been set up to be as good as Marietta Diner. Hopefully it will improve and we will try it again but we will give it quite a while before trying again.

  10. Yes .. mine has been in and out of the shop for about 8 months now with it starting at 9,000 miles . I am having electrical problems with mine . But I have filled the Lemon Law but I am not sure what to except with it . I am scared to drive it to far away and it is sad because it is a 2012 model car.

I did it once and it was the biggest joke ever.... I ended up trading it because the dealers have so many loopholes they know how to get around it. Mine was for a unsteady idle on a brand new car, it would often stall out at lights, etc. I tried the nice route, then the lemon law route, then suing them. They had so many loopholes/angles they could escape out of I just gave up.... My advice is to find an attorney who specializes in lemon law, if I had realized there was a such thing back them I would have gladly payed them whatever they wanted! Hope you have a better experience with it!
