  1. You probably need to not only sign in, but also make sure that your account is set to the Atlanta area if it is a regional even it wont show up on anybody that is not in that region.

This is a global even so it may not apply...but the Paulding.com group on facebook is ;)

There's a Paulding.com group on facebook? :o Why didn't I know that? Oh, that's right, because I've been on FB's Farm Town more than I've been on P.com.

Oh, can't attend, I'll be in Gainesville doing a doggie agility trial with my boys.

  2. ugh some newer cars dont even have ash trays.

True, but if you are a smoker, then you should pay the $$ for the "smoker's package". Oh, but once again, that would mean being respectful of the environment. If you are going to smoke, you need to be responsible for your trash.

My car doesn't have a toilet, but that still doesn't give me the right to pee out the window. Still gotta wait until I get home. Hold yer butts...guess that could have more than one meaning :)

    Love it

  3. I would want to be MY dog. They are spoiled rotten and really have a good life. I remind them all the time instead of my nice comfy bed, they COULD be sleeping outside in a pen in the summer heat and winter cold.

And they probably look at you with that special look and think, "Riiighht." "We're lettin you live with us, 'cause you buy the food."

  4. It's like a plague, in a good way. I joined, posted an invite on my Facebook page, now 3 dog buddies, DD and SIL, exSister in Law, friend from agility class, and two complete strangers are my neighbors. One friend introed me to her brother on the other side of the country to put on Buddy List. It's a plague I tell ya.

 Hubby has said I had better not make any more snide comments about WoW and Fantasy Football.

  5. I love your posts about dogs, you are always a wonderful source of quality information and so is CO and others from the shelter and rescue groups. I absolutely love learning about dogs and anything new I'd hadn't heard of before.

Nygal, kudos to you for loving that puppy no matter her genetic makeup.

Awww shucks, Thank you  I'm the lady that carries a "Let me tell you about my dogs" photo album instead of a "Let me tell you about my grandkids" photo album. Sigh

  6. She's as far from a chow as she is from a beagle!

I have had 2 purebred sheps, both with black spots on their tongues. Apparently, many dogs have it. Holly, however, has a pure black tongue..........very odd looking! :D

That's what the vet told us too. He did, however, offer us a DNA test........for $400. We decided to pass on that.

Regardless of what she is, we love her! :)

That is the right attitude to have. The great thing about mixbreeds is that you don't have to worry about the "breed standard" because there isn't one. Once you get one generation away from the first mix, there is no telling what the dog is going to look like unless someone keeps repeating the breeding to create a new breed. One of my Dog Fancy magazines did an article about the DNA testing. They took several mixes and gave them the DNA test. Before they got the results they asked a group of vets to give their opinions as to what the breed background was for each mix based on what they looked like. Then the background breeds were listed. The interesting thing was, based on what the dog looked like, most of them didn't have any resemblences to the purebreeds in their background. Most mixbreeds are not a mix of just two breeds. They are a fruit basket turnover of many generations of mixes. I think your attetude of "regardless, we love her" is the best attitude to have. They are all 100% dog and can offer 100% love and companionship.

  7. I want to get the Your Farm or My Farm t-shirt. I also want to get mugs for some of my neighbors that I know in real life. I smell Christmas presents.

If you haven't joined the FT forum, there is lots of info in it. Since I had so many problems yesterday, I've decided that the forums can be my fallback fix.

  8. For those dog lovers out there...........they are having the grand opening of a dog park in douglasville this weekend May 2 nd from 12-5 pm at Deer Lick park

Yes, Deer Lick is closer to me than the dog parks in my own county. Wish I could attend. I'll be in Rome running in agility trials with two of my dogs. I'm going to try to pop in there sometime next week.

  9. I could never get into Farm Town. after 2 weeks I ended up deleting it

That's too bad, I wonder if it was due to the upgrades. They have come in in stages. Some of the farms I worked over the weekend had all the new stuff like tables, chairs and fruit stands. I was in the Sat. night upgrade and that was when the trouble started. <_<

  10. And I thought P.COM was addictive! :o

Well, ya see. P.Com Mayberries are few and far between. (Atleast for a quiet sort like me, but that makes bullets few and far between to. Thank Goodness.) With FT you get paid from the FT Lottery just for logging on, friends stop by and do the weeding so you don't have to, you get $$ for weeding a friend's farm, you get paid for harvesting someone else's farm, you get paid when you sell your produce. So the rewards are quick and often for short attention span people, like me. :D

  11. THANK GOD........this hasn't had any affect on me.......woooohoooo

Hello.....my name is GeorgiaTornado......and I'm addicted to Farm Town

    Lucky :p

I'm gonna go do something in the real world and wait out this mess. I hate loosing all that cash from the two harvests I did.

  12. Yeha now I'm addicted to it too. I was very upset this morning when I couldn't sell in the Marketplace. <_< Oh well I guess I'll get over it. GT I still can't figure out how to stack my field to get more crops even after looking on youtube like you suggested. Guess I will have to get my teenage son to help me, you know kids these days are born knowing how to operate computers and video games. :D

I'm raclay and I too am addicted to Farm Town.

Stacking was one of those "perk" glitches that is being done away with in the new upgrade. People who've already stacked will keep them, but new stacks can't be made. You can tighten your rows up in the settings box. I tried it this morning and it didn't work the same as everything else. I harvested a huge sunflower farm for someone and didn't get the $$, and have replowed and replanted 3 times before giving up. I'll get on later in the day and see if it is fixed. The forum thread about the glitches was 272 pages long and was only started yesterday.

  13. Facebook's Farm Town game underwent upgrades this weekend and all is in shambles. Worse than tornado strikes, this over achieving little community has been inundated with bugs and glitches. Harvests won't stay harvested, workers aren't getting paid, money is not being exchanged in the Marketplace for harvested goods, and farmers are finding that newly plowed and planted fields are disappearing under their noses. Worst of all, addicted farmers can't get their Farm Town fix and are rampaging the forums for help. Alas, moderators can only say that they are aware of the problem but have no timetable for when the problems will be rectified. In the meantime cyber farmers are having to find other outlets such as going out into the real world and look at their real plants ........ or something. <_<
