  1. You have my deepest sympathy!!! What an amazing dog you had, so many people don't get that opportunity. I too have a wonderful friend and I know how much you must be hurting, your story brought me to tears.... God bless your family!! And Copper is running after a ball, in a place where he will never feel any pain again..........

  2. Leslie,

I hope this comes out right, sometimes I have trouble putting my feelings into words, especially when they are so personal and painful. But here goes.

You have been through so much and had to endure pain that I cannot even begin to comprehend. And the time sure does go by so fast. And I too think of Shad & Tedo your Sweet Mother, I wish so much that they were both still here on this earth. However, I have faith and I do believe that you will see them again one day. Just keep on going down the same path that you've been following for the last several years and stay strong. Cause, your Mom & Brother are with you in spirit, even though they are not physically here. And as long as you keep them close in your thoughts and memories they do live, in your heart and you carry them with you forever.

    May God Bless you.

    I Love you,

    Kim

  3. "This is a story worth reading". 5 years ago on September the 10th I lost my Father, he wasn't sick nothing like that, the Lord just took him very suddenly. Here is the post that I wrote not long after his death. On the anniversary of his departure I needed to share this with you again. He is missed so very much, by all of his family. Anyway for those of you that are interested here it is.

Just wanted to post a Tribute to my Father Francisco Barrios, he was born on 5/9/1936 in Los Angele's, California. He passed away on 9/10/2003 in a VA Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

My Father served his country for 30 Years in the Army achieving the rank of Sergeant Major. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the 173rd and 1st Calvary Division, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with Valor and various other combat awards. He also served with the Special Operations Command, 2nd of the 75th Ranger Regiment. He was a Great American & Great Dad, too. We buried him in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent Washington on Tuesday Sept. 16th at 10:30am with full military honors.

To say that I am proud of this Man would be an understatement. Not long after I lost him, I sent for his military records, I sat for many nights reading page after page, about the man known as Frank, to all who had the pleasure of knowing him & serving with him. And later on I received a second package which held exact replicas of all the Medals he received during his service with his name engraved on most of them and they were in individual boxes. To say I was excited, you bet cha. I was just expecting the paperwork. He spoke several languages & he didn't have a college education, but the wisdom & knowledge he held was endless. In his retirement, he and his wife Erika traveled frequently & enjoyed being together. He Loved the United States of America, any time he ever spoke of her, he always did so with Respect & Pride.

I miss you Dad. Each & everyday thoughts of you swirl through my mind & your voice is burned in my memory so that I never forget. Till we meet again.

I pay Tribute to You with much Love & Pride

    Your Daughter,

    Kim :D

  4. What a tragic loss, Mrs. Jean Roberts was one terrific lady!!!! She always spoke anytime I seen her out and about over the years, she remembered me and I thought what a remarkable woman.

She will never be forgotten, because of all the children that she helped in one way or another. A sweet smile a kind word she always had that in abundance when you went into the office. I went to Hiram Elementary in the 1960's and I will never forget her.

I pray for this family. And may God Bless You all.

  6. Tommy was truly a beautiful person, he always had a smile & hug for me anytime I ran into him while I was out & about. I absolutely loved going by to see him from time to time, even if I just dropped in without calling, he always greeted me the same a big smile & hug too. He was just so much fun to spend time with!!!! I will miss you my friend...

May God Bless his Family & be with them.

  7. I used to put my big foot into my bigger mouth all the time when I was younger. Now that I have gotten older & wiser, before speaking I pause, think it over & most of the time, keep my mouth shut. But, back in the days of my youth & stupidity of not thinking before I spoke & I was always in a hurry with everything. What a Dumb!*! I was, now I see things differently, cause you know all we really gotta do is just live & then die & I am in no hurry for the latter............

I leave earlier to get to where ever I got to go & I have learned to relax more. I have, what I like to call de - complicated my life & it feels good, too. :p

  8. Man, she is so beautiful & what a smile.......... Whatever you name her (looks like a precious to me), she is the cutest pup I have seen since my Mattie was a baby.....

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. :D
