  1. try rubbing alcohol. Soak the stain with a cloth or something under the stain to 'catch' it. You will probably have to change out the cloth several times but keep soaking it. Rubbing alcohol can even get out sharpie sometimes.

  2. We had hamsters when I was a kid, here is a fool proof way to recapture an escaped rodent. Place a bucket with food in the bottom, next to the bucket place a stack of books. The hamster climbs up the books, jumps in the bucket to get the food and then can't get out.

It may take a day or two, you will always capture them at night, never during the day. I wouldn't worry too much about the cats, but keep an eye on them if they seem really interested in digging under the couch or something :D

  3. I will have to check out these Paulding photographers, what are their prices?

I did use Portrait Innovations just last week and they are fantastic. They took 94 pictures of my 2yo and had two people working with her to get her looking good. They are totally digital and they print your pictures out in about 20 minutes. You get to pick which poses you want and what size prints you want. I really liked them :D

  4. Ack, that wet laundry smell! I almost puked in the washer a few times! I am 18 weeks right now and has gotten ALOT better, thankGod!

Congrats on your new little one on the way! And I hope the rest of your pregnancy is much smoother!

  5. Thank God your little girl is ok!

I had a moment like that a few years ago when my oldest was 3. She pulled our grandfather clock over on top of her.....I raced to her as fast as I could just imagining what I was going to find. Not only is this clock tall and heavy, it has glass doors on the front. I pulled the clock off of her and there wasn't a scratch on her. The clock came down so hard it knocked a chunk of wood out of the corner post it hit on the way down...the glass front doors were unbroken.

I believe God placed His hand between my daughter and that clock and gently laid it down.

The next day my hubby and I went around securly fastening all tall dressers, bookcases, and that dang clock, to the walls.

  6. I will tell you, the thing that HIGHLY ticked me off was the people who stood in the MIDDLE of all these kids lighting up their cancer sticks!!!! :angry2:

If your going to kill yourself, that's fine, but don't walk through a park full of kids doing it! :angry2:  Could they not have waited an hour til they got back to their vehciles?

    Just my 2 cents.

Oh, I agree! We were walking along having a great time when all of a sudden I got a lung full of smoke. I couldn't believe it! I hope they make this a non-smoking event next year.

And as for the advertisements, I have no problem with them. I didn't have any use for any of them but thats not to say that some people didn't. These businesses did a great job putting this on for the kids, whats the big deal if they stick a little flyer in with the candy they are giving out? There were plenty of trash cans that you could throw them in if you didn't want them.

  7. I was just reading another topic about how nasty the Walmart is, I agree, and it got me to thinking. The Dallas KFC is by far the nastiest place I have ever been in. I have gone there several times over the past several years and it never changes. Now I know in all this time the management has to have changed and there has to have been complaints. Why does this place never get any better? Or maybe the better question is 'why do I keep going back!?'

We stopped in on our way home from Paulding Medows on Saturday and the place was filthy. The buffet food looked old and lots of the bins were empty, the floor looked as if it hadn 't been swept or mopped in days, the bathroom was a disaster, the tables hadn't been wiped down.... Someone came in and asked for the manager but from the way the staff responded I think there was none onsite.

Then the staff....a bunch of teens that when you walked in you got the impression you were interupting them. It was really bizarre. A couple of them were having 'words' in the back, quite loudly, a couple others up and left and went into the parking lot to chat with another guy. The people who were eating there kept their heads down and kept eating, ignoring all that was going on around them, it was really quite surreal.

So, has anyone else eaten there lately, what is your take on this place?

  8. This was the best year yet, the longer hours definately seemed to help. Either that or so many people were dissappointed at being turned away last year and didn't come back!

We had a great time, my little one won 2nd place in the costume contest (out of 47 kids!) And both my girls had a fantastic time on the slide and moonwalk. We always get there early and do the trick or treating before the crowds get too thick.

Thanks to all who put on this great event for our kids!

BTW, who was Johnny Bravo?? He was a HOOT!

  9. Sudafed is the best you can do...that and tylenol. Basically anyting you could take while you were pregnant you can take while b/f. Also try vicks vapor rub under your nose to help you breathe.

I may have taken an actifed while b/f also, but I am thinking my baby was a little older when I did that, 10 months or so, and I was desparate to breathe!

I feel for you, I am pg right now and can't take much when I am sick. I had a terible cold when I first got pg and I was miserable!
