Ive known coach Dorsey since he was just a 10 Year old Tee boy at MHS. He was a good kid and he is even a better man now. His Mother and Father are great supporters of him and are good people. Hiram may nit win a championship every year but Andy is a great catch for any school. Hats off Coach

I know how we fix our problems.. RE-ELECT the dude that has made our car go from "in the ditch" as he said to "over the cliff"... Why not re-elect the dude that has increased food stamps and the national debt 5.5 trillion more dollars.. Why not re-elect the dude that has increased my kids debt 3 fold and will make our world a worse world for our kids instead of handing them a better world with more opportunity than we had... Why not Re-Elect the guy who shows those same kids to "blame others" instead of taking responsibility himself. Why not Re-Elect the dude that bashes other black men who believe differently than he does to the point of bringing women into legal charges against opponents until they have to back out of races and THEN>>>>>> all charges and women disappear. .. WHY NOT VOTE FOR THE GUY WHO HAS DONE NOTHING with his first 2 years when he had COMPLETE CONTROL of the house and senate? ...

denial doesn't mean things didnt happen. Its pretty simple and LPPT explained it very well. I understand feeling like its wasteful but honestly she is dead on with this post... and LPPT and I dont see Eye to Eye all the time either but she is on this one.

The paulding County Citizens voted for a Fire Tax Levy, Green Space,most recently for a County SPLOST that will provide for new roads, sidewalks,fire sations parks etc. ( I believe this has passed four times) A $ 120 million dollar School Bond, In the past couple of years voted to extend the Education SPLOST (I believe this also has passed four times) A permanent one cent sales tax.
Fact is the only thing that was voted down was the airport and the community center and we still got the airport. Did I miss something?
The Privately funded Toll Road for Connecting 75 and I-20...

Just kidding. I AM STILL VOTING NO. But I get a kick out of people that talk down their noses to me.
Just speaking in General.. I am not Book smarter than 75% of everyone here... I just realize the difference in taxing as a whole and how those taxes do not reach the local government. Ad I dont purposely look down my nose but please let me know if I am wrong in stating that PC CITIZENS vote NO for almost 95% of anything that could benefit the county? If you can, then i will apologize for that statement.. I am sorry for seeming like I am "smarter" because that wasnt my intention. Its just discouraging to see this place with tremendous potential to keep voting for no progress.

Its sad that all we do in Paulding is vote NO on everything. No matter what it is.. If its a Vote... Its a NO... We dont want improvement and we dont want business here. We dont want sewers and water to support business or business parks.. PC VOTES NO... Its simple... No new roads, No Toll Roads, No funding, No,No, NO!!!!!!! And then we Citizens wonder why the ones voted in RAM SHIOT DOWN OUR THROATS without a vote if its possible... I understand it LTTP and I know that you and I can see past our typical views a lot of time for the betterment of the community. But were few and far between

Everyone already pays app.27 cents per gallon of gas on taxes.On a 30 gallon fill up that is over $8 in taxes every time I fill up...Where is that money going?
I have not gotten a raise in over 4 years.....and the state wants me to vote them a raise?
I understand that its a Tax.. and it is... the difference is that its a sales tax and those that go through our area help pay for this expense as well as us a penny at a time. I too am saddened that people just say.. TAX I VOTE NO.. instead of really looking at the projects and how they will benefit the county and us as well. When the federal economy was going full force there were taxes that were being paid down to the smaller DOT's to add to a very small budget to get things done locally. Could there be some financial things to save money with our government... YES but this is small in the scale of project costs to simply widen a road, or Create a proper "AND SAFE" intersection... What we fail to realize as a whole is that to do things properly "so when there is an accident and people try and sue the county/state" it takes a lot of extra money to assure that its properly built, timed, graded, drained and wind tested. Just adding a traffic signal to an existing intersection will have an estimated cost of over 90,000 dollars. When i started with PCDOT we had 2 traffic signals and when I left PCDOT we had 18 of them. Multiply this times 90,000 and you will see where Local Tax or TSPLOST specific taxes would greatly improve our roads and drive times. Think of how many minutes per day is spent at the Hwy 92& HWY78 intersection in Douglas county. This was going to be corrected by realigning the road and creating a tunnel UNDER the RR Tracks. Thats a LOT of money there.. I am not big on taxes and never will be. But when it comes to the greater good of the counties people "even if they dont realize it" or if its better for my family, environment, and drive times for everyone... Im good with that. Of course this is JMO and doesnt mean much.

I do.. i understand and I thought it was a little overkill.. i know that Jerry saddled David Austin with this payment and had his fingers in the final price of the project somehow as well. I think that David has done pretty good with the Poop Storm he was handed. Things were done crooked as they ever were in the prior admin. I am not a fan of all the board members by any means as i think they are pompous and a little too big for their britches myself but I have found that David Austin has been easy to reach and has made time for us small guys often.

You are correct, but I never said anything in regards to Mr. Austin, I knew it was Jerry Shearin's creation so I am confused if there was a question....
I was stating that the courthouse was WAY overbuilt but apparently Nitro disagrees. That's ok, we all know I'm right and he's not so we can let him think what he wants.... 
In the past with every school that has been built I have read how dumb it is to build a building that is immediately full or over crowded. We all said.... Build for the future not for right now. The county has combined a lot of its offices their which has actually made IT better for us. No more figuring out where to For this and that.

That building instantly had a LOT of unused space. It seems that the smarter move would have been to build the main building with extra space and have enough land to build onto the existing building or a new structure. It's not like Paulding Co was poised for some big explosion needing double the staff.... OR they could easily do like Cobb is doing and refurbish ugly arse shopping centers and re purposing them. Lot's of options were available rather than building it so big....
Correct me if I am wrong but...... Wasnt the courthouse and the county offices purchased and built PRIOR to Mr Austin taking office? I think that he has done a pretty good job at dealing with a government that has lost a massive amount of income due to the economy collapsing and Mr Sherrin having practically giving this county over to HOME BUILDERS in an attempt to create the bedroom community that has little tax base yet has a population that likes to think we have the same opportunities as Cobb or any other county with a corporate tax base.. PC was doomed from the start about 15 years ago when the foresight was not given to any commercial business in an attempt to appease the masses that do not like change but want MORE EVERY YEAR... Its a small microcosm of our "we want it with out any sacrifice from me" mentality.

I despise this guy.. if he didnt have his last name, he would have never made it to the big league. I swear his fans make up more excuses than Obama's sheep. I have been waiting on Jr's fans to just "blame bush" LOL> Seriously, he has had the top equipment for YEARS now and he just now won.. lol.

lol at your google tiredness. lol. Norv Turner took over a 14-2 San Diego Chargers team that was supposed to win the superbowl because of the talent levels and schedules. He was hired as the Head coach and had a losing record as well. It seems that every year he has been there, they have gotten progressively worse and have not even made the playoffs many of his years. That was the reference point.. But like i said.. I really hope this guy can change his winning percentage of about 29% or so...
