  1. Thank you for coming forward with your concerns. I've court watched in Beavers court and spoke about the irregularities, abnormalities, questionable decisions and seemingly hidden influences for years and have been labeled a "Beavers Basher" because of it. The fact of the matter is if a judge gets it right 80% of the time or less, is it okay to be wrong 20% of the time, or more? When is it acceptable for a judge to deliberately or negligently get it wrong?

  2. Pre-trial motions and disposition of motions avail a crooked judge the opportunity to suppress evidence. It is the reason why a troubling judge with conflicts of interest should recuse himself. Cases can be lost based on the suppression of evidence prior to any trial. It can even determine if a case even goes to trial at all.

  3. Pubby your head is going to explode.

I hate to be the one to tell you but the White Nationalist Wing Of The GOP did not win this election for Kemp... your candidate and her supporters won it for Kemp. Now if Shirley Franklin had run, we would have the Nation’s First Black Female sitting in the wings waiting for her Swearing In Ceremony.

Much like in local politics, I hate to tell you but your mailers did not win 3 new Commission candidates races. The 3 outgoing candidates supporter’s lost those 3 races for their candidates all by themselves.

People are tired of hearing how the other candidate is a villain. Voters are looking for proactive and positive candidates. I say if the Democratic Candidate for Governor had run on a “Can Do” platform and acted like Kemp didn’t exist, your party would have won by a landslide.

But I understand these are only opinions. And my opinions and $4.75 will buy me a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Stacey Abrams campaign slogan was "Georgia Thrives". Kemp's campaign slogan was "Abrams is a socialist". There was nothing positive about Kemp's campaign. Nothing at all.

    From the LA Times:

the ballot collection law passed in 2106 does open the door to coercion and fraud and should be fixed or repealed before the next election.

Before the law was passed, only a family member or a member of the household was authorized to deliver a ballot on behalf of a registered voter. But AB 1921 relaxed that rule, allowing others — including canvassers, campaign workers and anyone else — to solicit voters to fill out ballots and deliver them.

The potential for misuse first became apparent in a special election in Los Angeles last year between two Democrats for an open seat in the state Assembly. In the final weeks of the race, complaints surfaced about aggressive campaign workers pressuring voters to hand over ballots on behalf of Wendy Carrillo, who ultimately won the race.

That’s only one way the law could be misused. Doesn’t it also encourage ballot collectors to gather the ballots and then “lose” them — oops! — on the way to the drop-off? Isn’t there the possibility that they might pay voters to hand over their unfilled mail ballots?

Any system implemented with good intentions can be exploited, corrupted and abused. The question is do you have evidence that this was done? Can you prove it?

Any fool can see Trump is a crook that conceals the very truths that would impeach and convict him but you still ask for the proof despite indictments all around him. You still think Mueller's investigation should be shut down even though the investigation pays for itself and has produced a lot of results.

Some of you don't wait for all of the facts and don't even want to hear the facts before calling for the investigation to be brought to an end.

  5. You don't think the ballot harvesting in California can easily be turned into an easy way to commit voter fraud?

Do you have proof or you're just speculating? You always want to wait for all of the facts to come out but now suddenly waiting for all of the facts to come out isn't in your interest is it?

  6. Democrats supported ballot harvesting in California, but don't in NC. Hmmmm

Republicans didn't support legal methods of ballot harvesting completed and sealed ballots in California but they support it being done illegally unsealed and uncompleted in NC. Hmmm...

"The North Carolina board is expected to look into accusations that people came to the doors of Bladen County voters ahead of the Nov. 6 vote and asked them to hand over ballots, sometimes unsealed and uncompleted. Filling out a ballot for another person, or destroying it, is illegal."

  7. I kind of agree. I think however, the way I grasp the situation is:

Projection is when people lie and accuse others of the nefarious acts they are doing in order to deflect and distract from their acts by creating confusion over facts. It is actually a psych-ops propaganda tactic that is being commonly used by those whose motivations are served by lying, cheating and stealing for personal gain.

Nice. My repost of this (crediting Pubby) gained a lot of traction.

  8. Well what ya know....

After years of searching, finger pointing and accusations Republicans have at last found the fraud they have been looking for all this time and I'll be damned if it wasn't one of their own.

House race in limbo after North Carolina voter fraud claims

(Reuters) - North Carolina’s board of elections on Friday declined to certify Republican Mark Harris’ apparent victory in a U.S. House of Representatives race, calling instead for a public hearing to investigate claims of voter fraud and irregularities.

The North Carolina board is expected to look into accusations that people came to the doors of Bladen County voters ahead of the Nov. 6 vote and asked them to hand over ballots, sometimes unsealed and uncompleted. Filling out a ballot for another person, or destroying it, is illegal.

Investigators are also expected to scrutinize unusually high numbers of absentee ballots cast in Bladen County in both the general election and the May 8 primary, in which Harris defeated Republican incumbent congressman Robert Pittenger.

The hearing will be held by Dec. 21.

Projection where people try to pin what they are doing onto someone else, to deflect and distract, is becoming common place.

  9. All of a sudden folks are interested in what the White House has been doing....Where were you two over the last 8 years of the Obama Admin?

    - Jamie

The persecution of social media geeks is a little different than armed right wing militia's. Your side has a way of creating false comparisons.

The one about Kavanaugh and Emmett Till was extremely offensive. Kavanaugh would never be at risk of being brutally beaten to death or to a larger extent, having the assailants walk away acquitted.

  10. These big gov't actions are unjustified and unwarranted. Trump's purge of the DOJ will just increase the abuses by the very department Trump claims is incompetent. Scary stuff.

"What is particularly chilling about these warrants is that anti-administration political activists are going to have their political associations and views scrutinized by the very administration they are protesting," said ACLU attorney Scott Michelman.

  11. So Trump is expected to have god-like powers to keep people from dying in a hurricane?

I had no idea he had such powers.

Most of the people didn't die during the hurricane. They died from a lack of federal support during the aftermath of the storm.

  12. What Trump called a success was Puerto Rico's hurricane response.

    Are you really this dim?

I think he called the Federal response to Hurricane Maria's impact on Puerto Rico a success. Depending on what Trump's objective was, it may well have been a success to have over 3,000 people die in Puerto Rico.

  13. Better yet, who’s going to pay for all of this?

I’d like to see some of these politicians open up their gated estates to some of the illegal immigrants.

I think the better question is who is getting paid for all of this? Just like Social Security Act Title IV-d and Title IV-e, a lot of money is being made. They'll privatize the detention center and then they'll give kick backs to the politicians.

  14. Democrats (elected officials) didn't want anything changed, they just wanted to use the issue against Trump. So did the establishment Republicans.

Problem is...it's not actually going to be as easy as signing an E/O.

Now the real fun begins. Watch and learn how dirty both parties are.

Considering one party has all of the power, Democrats suck at being dirty.

  15.

I'm by no means am an expert when it comes procedural rules, but with respect to the Senate and the Tax plan, your looking at two different scenarios (Apples to oranges) not an example of selectively circumventing the rules.

BTW...It isn't just the democrats fault, it's falls on everyone's shoulders and right now the media outrage is nothing more than political grandstanding.

    - Jamie

It's everyone's problem but only one political party has the solution. The party that holds the keys to all three branches of gov't can't get it done? If they can't get it done and they hold all the keys then may be they shouldn't be holding all of the keys.

  16.

You would be correct if Cruz's bill had already been approved by the house and sent to the Senate. There are governing rules at play.

    - Jamie

There were governing rules at play when the tax cut bill passed. Selectively circumventing the rules is not an excuse. Let Trump issue the executive order and let the legislation iron itself out. No succeeding Democratic President would undo such an executive order. I hear more excuses why things can't be done and it's the Democrats fault even though the Democrats have no power. Whatever happened to the Republicans being the party of personal responsibility? Of course I jest. The unicorn is a Republican mascot.

  17.

One would think that, but frankly, it just isn't that simple. The senate isn't anything like the house, which requires a simple majority. The senate requires 60 votes to even bring legislation to the floor to be discussed, amended and then voted on. Republicans at the present control (51) seats. So without democrat support, there is no vote to bring it to the floor. I'm not a rules junkie. If someone knows something different, by all means elaborate.

    - Jamie

The recent tax cut bill passed the Senate 51-48 last December. Democratic votes weren't needed then and they aren't needed now. All they need do is implement the nuclear option. Clearly the Republicans don't want the problem fixed or they would fix it and use the accomplishment to promote themselves during the midterms.

  18. Are we crying for the children or putting on our game faces for the midterms....?

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/congress/senate-democrats-reject-gop-legislative-fix-to-stop-family-separations

    - Jamie

What does it matter if Democrats reject it? Push the legislation through or force them to try and filibuster it. Democrats hold no power. It seems the Republicans are afraid do go it alone because if it blows up in their face they can only point fingers at themselves. Well, if they are so sure, pass the legislation and fix the problem.

  19.

Which part of this story is a lie ? ? ?

    http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/crime/article213426999.html

    :unknw:

The part where you infer that Democrats matter. Republicans own all branches of the government. The President can write an executive order or Republicans can push through legislation without Democratic votes if they were concerned about doing the right thing. Talk about politicizing an issue. Drag Democrats into an issue when they have no control or say in what is done is clear politicization.
