This is not a good update. April's lungs collapsed and had emergency surgery a few days ago, then the doctor had to turn right around and do a traech on her AND she is on a feeding tube. Someone is at the hospital round the clock. Her family has spent a ton of money already on food alone while being at the hospital for these past few weeks. Her coworkers are taking turns every day going to the hospital to be with the family. I want to personally thank those of of you that have stopped at Wendy's and asked about her and left prayers there also. Her family is ripped apart totally and are completely exhausted. Please PLEASE keep these prayers coming even more now for April and the family. T Roo and Pastor Roo this family really needs you both right now. :(

This family does have a lot of faith...and we are praying that God will pull her through this.

If anyone is able to come by the car show....and make a donation I am sure it would greatly be appreciated... I know Marcie and she has really been suffering with this for a great while. I have heard that she has been in the hospital for about ten weeks now. So if you can please stop by and support this cause.

Also, please keep her and her family in your prayers..... They sure could use it right now.

  4. From  a church leadership perspective:

Most people are respectful of the church environment ...IF THEY ARE AWARE OF THE EXPECTATIONS....

this person may not have realized the music was offensive....I've had teenage girls who didn't understand why it wasn't a good idea to wear booty shorts to church (or anywhere else for that matter...but I digress)...

Recently, someone cursed in the church.....Of course, I took my 5 lb. KJV and whacked him on the head, quoting scripture and verse of "Thou shalt nots..."

NOT......... I simply cringed very slightly, but that slight gesture made the person aware that I was uncomfortable....I'm sure I made a little "ew" sound or something...and they actually asked, "Should I not say that here?".......He honestly didn't know it was disrespectful...No one ever took the time to discuss expectations.

We do not live in the same world I grew up in.  People do not know how "you are supposed to act at church."  Many people, even here in the "Bible Belt," have never been to church and know nothing of the terms of "acceptable"  church behavior.

For that matter people do not even know "how" to act in public...or their homes.....PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW "HOW TO ACT"...(look at us, do we?? )

And as far as I can see, our society and culture is giving very mixed signals as to what is acceptable...we are hashing out a moral debate in govt, schools, uh, even pharmacies..(both sides defend a moral issue--based on their own definitions and beliefs about morality).....

I'm not negating personal responsibility, but people have to  be educated about expectations before they will even attempt to live by them.  (Isn't that why we all cry out for parents to set boundaries? )

****Maybe this post is all over the place...but this is what came to mind when I read the posts.

Your exactly right T Roo....I agree people simply don't know what is right anymore...They haven't been taught what is acceptable and whats not.

  5. Will be praying for Chandler and his family. Please let us know something when you find out.

God give this family strength, give the doctors wisdom and guidance as they operate on Chandler. Wrap them all in your loving arms and let them feel your presence. In Jesus Name!

  6. Maybe if your church records the service on audio/cd or something you could offer him that when he has to work....I know some churches does record their services or maybe he could watch a service on t.v.. :p

We can't leave diehard out! :p

  7. Seeing how there are not many replies to just thread....I hope everyone had a wonderful time at church this morning. :D

I know i did..as it is always wonderful to be in the house of the Lord. Great to be able to fellowhiup with other believers also.

  9. By the way; What it LMAO? I sware I have never learned what it is, and that is no joke. But, I have had it said to me quiet a bit. Is that like getting your face slapped?

Eddie Bennett.....I just thought your post was very funny and had me rolling on the floor .....your a great guy! :D

We Love Ya and Need Ya ;)

  10. Success to me is...

living up to the same expectations I impose on others.

    overcoming obstacles and reaching goals.

    raising healthy and productive children.

    loving and being loved.

Fullfilling the purpose for which I was created, not so that I will recieve the credit, but so that people will be drawn to God through Christ in me.  It is because of Him that I can do anything....Yeah, I really believe that.

AMEN T ROO i totally agree with you on this one....fullfilling the purpose that we are created for that others can come to know God through Christ in us. Phil 4:13 is one of my favorite verses too. :D

  11. I think you need a good balance of both....but motivation and inner drive are very important in succeeding.

I also like to watch the Apprentice....and think it will come down to one from each group being in the final two....#OURcurrentPRESIDENT will go with the college educated...Don't think he will give the other a chance to ruin what he has built. Just my Opinion.

Troo: Thanks for your post...I find them very thought provoking and I really enjoy reading them. You inspire me also.

As Eddie Bennett says WE NEED YA AND WE LOVE YA

  12. Sometimes, folks read too much into a post and take everything all personally... Or, folks come on wanting to post and share their opinion, but get really defensive if others disagree with it.

We are communicating with words here and have only clickable smilies to help convey the tone of our thoughts.  It is easy to misinterpret things when you can't read body language.

How bland life would be if we all had to agree.  But you can disagree and still be kind.  (Unless you are dealing with public access roads....right Eddie Bennett?)

    Well said TROO! :p
