About Me
Jeanne received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Berry College in 1998, with a major in Psychology. She then attended the University of Georgia School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2001. While attending law school, Jeanne interned with the Capital Assistance Project, working on appeals in cases where the death penalty had been imposed, and with the Piedmont Circuit District Attorney's Office, prosecuting cases in both Barrow and Jackson Counties. She passed the bar exam and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2001 and entered into private practice. <br /><br /> In 2005, Jeanne decided to leave the civil domain and began working as an Assistant District Attorney for the Paulding Judicial Circuit. During her time as an ADA, Jeanne prosecuted a wide variety of cases, ranging from Driving Under the Influence, to Burglary and Aggravated Assault. As a prosecutor, she has handled all aspects of criminal cases, from bond and preliminary hearings, through plea negotiations and trial, including successful argument before the Georgia Court of Appeals. <br /><br /> At present, Jeanne has her own private law office and is focusing on the following areas of law: Family Law, including Divorce, Child Support, Child Guardianship, Paternity/Legitimation, and Adoption, Personal Injury, Adult Guardianship, Wills, Advanced Medical Directives and other civil matters.<br /><br />
