It was a different situation with Paulette Braddock. The allegations against her were brought to the forefront during her campaign. It gave the opportunity for voters to check into it and then make their decision one way or the other. Just because someone else does something and is forgiven or the deed overlooked doesn't mean it should happen without disclosure. I for one do not want to just overlook the fact that Mayor Doris Devey was incarcerated and charged with about 25 counts of theft by taking. I do not yet know the outcome as to whether she was convicted, made some sort of deal, or had no validity to the charges. After all she is supposed to be looking out for the best interest of the citizens of Hiram and she has her hands on the checkbook. I think this information should have been openly presented to the voters when she ran for election. I knew of it a few minutes after the 911 call. He had a problem with a tire on the Bobcat and accidentally the boom came down on him. I knew Ron and am very upset about this citation. Of course I did not go to the scene of the accident as it would have been inappropriate and a distraction to the investigation. Will visit with the family and friends when the time is appropriate. Please pray for all his friends and co-workers and especially his family.
