  1. Will this one be outted on the liberal rag blog by the anonymous Dustin and friends who won't "own" what they write?

Madea: The anonymous Dustin is not anonymous... its David aUSTIN. He's a Democrat who ran as a Republican to get elected as Commissioner in Paulding Co.,and he and his "good old boy" network are working WITH Will. They hate Paulette because she is not their "yes man". This has been true for years now. She knows THEIR secrets, folks and they know she does. Hang on to your hats...I have heard all the mud they are slinging at her and have read the "official" reports. This is just another bunch of desperation. WHY IS IT OPEN SEASON ON CONSERVATIVE, REPUBLICAN WOMEN ALL OVER THE NATION RIGHT NOW? This is pathetic. Last I heard, she IS going to address these issues, but not sure of the forum.

  2. I have a stack of Paulette mailers which came in the week of the run-off. I would like to know where the money came from. The law states we, as voters, had the right to know that before the run-off election, and Paulette denied us that information.

Hey Surepip/Supersleuth: With all your desperate and amateur digging, didn't you figure out that she owns a direct mail marketing company and does her own mailers...duh! ...Keep trying and maybe one day you'll earn your Dick Tracy badge!

p.s. stay tuned... your bubble will burst soon

  3. Regardless of how he got where he is, he certainly needs help. Did he screw up his life all by himself, probably..........but let's not kick him while he's down. He's someone's child, someone's father, someone's family member. He means something to them no matter what he's done.

I just think it's foolish to continue airing this man's dirty laundry on a public message board. He's gone, he's no threat to me or most on this board. Give him a break until he gets control of his life again. sad.gif

Praying for him and his family.

I agree. I hope he can get help and I wish him and his family well. Suicide is such a selfish act fueled by depression and a sense of hopelessness and loss of control . Politics aside, he is a human being who needs help before he does the unthinkable. Hopefully he has someone in his life that can reach him.

  4. In my mind this is the hardest race,I have talked to all three. All three are good,if I was to ever vote for a democrat it would be for Will. The other two are great people,Daniel Scott would be a great Rep for the people. Paulette is hungry to prove herself and deserves a chance.

This is a very tough decission to make,I might have to flip a coin.yahoo.gif

How have the others proven themselves, pray tell?

Avery by trying to play the old "moderate" democrat card (seems like Obama did the same thing to get elected), now look what we are dealing with!!

Stout served about a month in the house and missed 45 votes. One day was excused for his "day job" and the others he has never admitted to, but can be proven by going on the state leg. website.

I'm not sure where being a business woman since the age of 21, raising 3 kids, serving on the local school board and being active in her community falls in the "not having proven herself category". I think some folks are afraid as I noted in a previous post, that she will not give in and be a puppet for the establishment. I met her too, when she came to my doorstep one afternoon in tennishoes, asking for my vote. She convinced me that day, after I did a little research, that she is the real deal (sorry to steal someone else's campaign slogan here)!

  5. OK, here it is. The first person that posts a rumor or innuendo, with no corroboration or evidence to back up their trash talk, and my head may just explode. There is a hit thread open for every candidate please use those to spread lies and filth. Character and ethics are fair game, as is the way candidates are conducting themselves, but please leave the sex lies and videotape elsewhere.

I have heard a lot of bad things, mostly lies, about all three candidates. It would be nice to hear from supporters why their candidate is right for the job, and not why the other guy is a turd.

On the issues, I don't see a lot of difference so far, and for that reason, I haven't made up my mind yet. I am considering all three candidates, but as I posted in another thread, I find it hard to vote for even a conservative Democrat right now, because of the intense partisanship and pressure to pick a side under the gold dome. If Mr. Avery were to buckle under that intense pressure and start voting with David Scott, I would feel mightily betrayed. On the other hand, Ms. Braddock has a voting record on the BOC of raising taxes, or so I have been told, and Mr. Stout left out a pertinent transgression in his run as a religious conservative and a family values candidate in the special election, that wasn't public until it was too late for many, thus betraying their trust, and voted wrongly on an issue to keep a promise (his explanation).

OK, so convince me that your guy or gal is the right person for the job by allaying my concerns and telling what is good about your candidate, not what's bad about the others. I've already heard more of that than I wish to hear.

One's closeness to their GOD is not a political position, so lets please just skip right over that. It's fair to assume that all three are on an equal footing with their God, OK?

Braddock has my vote because she seems honest and conservative. She voted against all but one tax increase and has stated publically, that she regretted that vote (before the 1st vote was cast). She has run a business on her own, since she was 21, for 22 yrs, while the others were still in diapers. Folks, this is no time to elect or send back inexperienced, ineffective children to represent this district. I don't mean to be rude but, I think either of the other 2 will just be moldable little puppets for the powers that be. Like her or not, Braddock will stand firm. I have talked to her and her stances on the important issues, have been held by her for a long time, not just when she decided to run for political office. I also like her plans to address the issues that are most important to me. (jobs, new industry, transportation & education).

  6. YOU posted the article here. It is quite obvious why. The information was placed so folks here would see it and you hoped it would reflect badly on Golden and Stout and in favor of Braddock. I just feel suckered to have jumped to the conclusion that a Stout supporter did it. I won't make a mistake like that again.

I don't know anyone who read it who didn't think it was a biased joke, planted by a Stout surrogate. Give the PC folks some credit...

  7. In an effort to dispel any "false" rumors, the following is a statement made by and confirmed by Mr. and Mrs. Stout themselves in response to these allegations. Any falsehoods or "misleading statements" contained herein are the responsibility of the candidate himself, not anybody trying to "spread false rumors". Danna672, I am the one that first posted these statements here on Pcom, and I intentionally chose not to publish any of the allegations, only the response to make it perfectly clear that I was in no way attempting to mislead anyone. You may ask Daniel if he made the following statement if you do not believe me. I showed you mine, now you show me yours. You want truth, well here it is in quotation marks.

    Daniel Stout says:

"Kelly and I wanted to respond together to a question about a painful past event that someone has recently raised during this election.

Ten years ago I committed adultery that led to a divorce from my first wife. I own the reality of the pain I caused to my first wife, my daughter and others. This humbling experience changed my life dramatically.

I have asked for and received forgiveness from my first wife, my daughter, my family, my friends, my church, my community and, most importantly, God.

I met my current wife, Kelly, four years later. We were completely open with one another, and we discussed all this as soon as we began dating. We got married in 2005, and God’s loving forgiveness for us has been a constant theme of our relationship. The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful marriage, and through God’s strength we remain faithful to one another.

Of course, we knew when I announced for the House seat that belongs to the people of Paulding County that this and all matters of our lives would be open to the public. We believe in total transparency, even in matters of past sins anyone would rather forget.

We will always be open with our lives, and we invite you to call us if you would like to talk to either of us:

    Daniel: 770-xxx-xxxx.

    Kelly: 678-xxx-xxxx

    Sincerely,

    Daniel and Kelly Stout"

    "Kelly Stout says:

    Dear Friends,

I am writing to dispel any concerns that you might have regarding an indiscretion committed by my husband, Daniel Stout, ten years ago. Daniel has never attempted to hide the fact that he committed a terrible sin in his first marriage.

I would like to make some things perfectly clear regarding that situation and how things stand with Daniel now. Daniel publically confessed this sin with deepest repentance to his first wife, his family and in front of the church he was a member of at the time. Daniel’s first wife forgave him. Daniel’s family forgave him. In addition, his church forgave him.

Daniel was completely up front with me about this event as soon as we began dating. As his wife for going on 5 years, I have never had any doubt about his fidelity in our marriage and his commitment to remain completely faithful to me.

It is clear to me that my husband has been humbled and brought closer to the Lord by his past. I am proud of Daniel and the man he is before the Lord. I am completely convinced that he can represent Paulding County’s 19th District with the utmost integrity."

    Sincerely, Kelly Stout

    678-xxx-xxxx

It would be great to leave this whole SOAP OPERA behind and get to the business of finding a servant for the people, wouldn't it? I know no one is perfect but this has an uncomfortable level of "creepy" factor in it for me. Sorry, but it's too much info.

  8. Since you came on here and trashed Steve Golden to backdoor the promotion of your candidate I think I will pass on the validity of your comments. If you think I am ticked you would be correct!!!

I have not trashed Mr. Golden. The "true colors" article was written by STOUT'S friend, Ron Davis. I think it reflected badly on them and no one else, because it was so obviously biased. I think most people would agree with that. Furthermore, Stout's surrogates also started the rumors about the disgruntled homeowners. Your anger is directed in the wrong place.

  9. I shouldn't have used the word majority....but he did get MORE votes than the other two candidates. And I DO NOT believe that anyone will burn in hell if they do not vote for Daniel.....grow up....and quit putting words in my mouth. I was not implying that Daniel is a Noah, just using that example to show that we shouldn't always be so concerned with what people think of us....look closer I know it is difficult for you....I was comparing people laughing at our COUNTY like they laughed at Noah.....the only thing in common is that sometimes you do what is right regardless of what others think....somewhat like I am having to do with you

I hate to break it to you Dear, but Daniel was only a House Rep. for about 19 days total (days in session) and he still managed to miss 45 votes, of which, only 19 were missed on the infamous "day off for bank audit". (A job that he has now quit, as I understand it). Anyway, I also have it on good authority that some of the other votes he missed were because he was taking 3 hours lunches and playing nintendo in his office. I don't think that falls into the category of "doing what Paulding county wants". We need a mature Representative that will actually show up for work. God willing, we will get one.

  10. I'm with you.

Never been a Paulette fan before, but if she did what she did with the money she was showing in her contributions report, she might be worth taking a look at. I absolutely can't stomach the thought of Stout representing Paulding County. That is an embarrassment.

Campaign money$ cannot substitute for old school, knocking on thousands of doors like her campaign did. This lady (Paulette Braddock), worked it and deserves some grassroots respect! She's got my vote in the run-off against Stout on August 10th!

  11. A step further:

Why he voted no on a bill that would have put helping the transportation problems in Paulding on the ballot in the way of a referendum so WE could vote if we wanted to pay more but get some reasonable transportation funding.

I would have liked to have been able to vote on this at least.

I have been impressed with Mr Avery as well.

Builder, Banker, former BOE member, or an educator ? With what is facing the state and paulding the next couple of years I kind of like the idea of an educator representing us under the Gold Dome, and I have no kids left in school.

Avery is very much in the style of our 1970s/1980s Dixiecrats and has his roots in rural SE Georgia.

Yeah right, and Obama campaigned as a moderate too! I won't fall for the "sensible moderate democrat" while campaigning and the "liberal nightmare", after the election trick. Have you learned nothing little sheep, with all that wool over your eyes??

  12. That is more a campaign piece by someone who supports Daniel Stout than it is an article about Steve Golden. They can say what they want about the flier that went out but they can't say it wasn't the truth. I think it is very likely that Daniel will win and if he does it will be because those who vote for him are okay with all of this. I can't see that as a bad thing.

Just curious why you think Stout will win? I thought being an incumbent would be a negative this year?
