  1. Our Thanksgiving is always just our family of four. Our extended family is in Kentucky. I try to fix their favorite sides;

    mashed potatoes

    corn

macaroni and cheese (#1 son's must have dish)

lima beans (#2 son's must have dish)

    dressing

    brocolli casserole (my favorite)

    rolls

    devilled eggs

We are not a big desert bunch but I usually have some homemade candies around for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They always ask for the chocolate covered peanut butter crackers.

Pretty simple stuff but it is what we eat.

  2. As horrible as I know this sounds, please do not believe everything you read. My family has known this man very very well for many years and I can tell you that the allegations are false. Without disclosing more than I should, just know that the so called "child porn" was nothing more than artwork, some obtained in Europe, that was part of an art class he was taking. A forensic computer investigator is also in the process of proving that the items on his computer were from a trojan. For those of you that know him, please just pray that this situation is handled quickly and properly and that his reputation can be restored.

I know that can happen. It happened to someone I know and it was not hard for the computer forensic teams to figure it out. I hope that is the case with your friend.

  3. wellstarcareers.org ALWAYS has CNA postings with several of them being PRN. They seem to need people often at the Paulding Nursing Center. Good luck on taking your phlebotomy certification test. Just remember the order of draw, additives, and safety because the majority of the test is on that. Are you taking the NHA test?

  4. Yes! Last chance to order fall/winter items. The new spring/summer catalog becomes available on March 1st. Just let me know when you're ready to order. :)

I am interested in ordering the "Multi-pack of 6 bars Normally $25, Now $22.50" I am new to Scensty so I need help with scents. I can't have anything that has cinnamon or a smell like cinnamon because my husband can't stop sneezing whit he get close to it. I really like the fruity, berry, vanilla, coconut scents. What do you recommend?

  5. What a beautiful testimony to your dad. My biological father was killed in a car accident when I was just 4. I was lucky to be blessed with another "dad" to raise me, but I will forever be sad that I didn't have that father/daughter relationship that you had with your dad. I am sorry for your loss.

  6. I have grown up eating stuffing straight from the turkey. My grandmother and then my mom would do both stuffing and dressing. I only do dressing just because it is easier, but I still eat that stuffing at my mom's house. I haven't died from it yet, but death by stuffing wouldn't be such a bad way to go. :)

  7. I am going to see it Saturday. I am so excited. I LOVED the book!

I don't think you will be disappointed. They kept it pretty close to the book. They had to leave a couple of things out but it is still a 2 1/2 hour movie so I really didn't miss anything.

  8. I just finished the book last night and can't wait to see the movie.

I will say that I was a little disappointed in the ending--I just expected a little more!!!

Question---since it is PG13---would it be suitable for a 11-12 yr old to see??? She has been seeing all the commercials and wants to go with me.

SMB90- Kathryn Stockett is the book author. The book is really good and the movie mirrors the book as closely as a movie can I think.

T-bird- I think the movie is very appropriate. It would make for a good history lesson too. Be ready for questions why people were treated the way they were. I only recall one curse word and that was sh*t. They did say the "n" word a couple of times, but it shows the racism that was so out of control at that time. If she were my daughter I wouldn't hesitate to take her.

  9. It was great! I read the book and I was a little concerned about the movie not being true to the book because I like the book so much, but there was no reason to be concerned. The movie is 2 1/2 hours long so there is very little that they had to leave out. There were times during the movie when I actually heard people arournd me crying then a few minutes later the entire audience would be laughing or cheering. When the movie was over the audience broke into a spntaneous applause. It is just a good wholesome movie that everyone should see.
