  1. And how absurd is it for anyone to think that if a candidate doesn't choose paulding.com as an avenue of campaigning, that they must be "skirting issues"? As if there are not a multitude of other ways to campaign....

I mean just think about it.....here is an analogy - I'm so big and bad, I can sit here in front of my little computer all day behind my anonymous screen name, type all kinds of accusations about candidates (and others) without proof, and I THINK it is okay (key word is think) because I am entitled to my free speech, no limits, nothing to worry about, nobody will ever know its me, etc., etc., etc. Like I said, key word is THINK.

Here is an example in this thread: Post # 11

So why didn't you say anything when it was said that Obama is a Muslim sympathizer? Is that a true statement? Isn't that the same thing? :ninja:

  2. You should know Jug that there is a world of difference between posting opinions and posting downright untruths that you don't even have a shred of credible evidence in proving.

All I said was that Whitey had a right to voice his opinion. You said that before. However, I will make certain that you are reminded next time that opinions are not worth putting out there without credible evidence. I will make sure. :clapping:

  3. You, Whitey and surepip keep hurling thsee accusations around but never providing any proof. You guys just keep talking and talking and never proving anything - you just keep on with meaningless words typed anonymously on a message forum. Good grief - anyone can do that!

I simply am asking anyone here that is seeking facts, stances of candidates issues, etc., to be responsible enough to pick up the phone and call these candidates or shoot them an email. Mindless chatter on a message forum really doesn't accomplish anything other than pure speculation.

We in Paulding County are fortunate enough to have people that are concerned enough about our community and its residents to sacrifice their time and money to run for office and for that, we should all be appreciative. We have a great slate of candidates to choose from and I am looking forward to speaking with each and every one of them.

If these candidates make decisions that don't include paulding.com as a method of campaigning, then so be it - it is their choice. It is not as if there are not plenty of other ways to reach the citizens of Paulding County.

You know it is actually quite simple - Whitey is very passionate about his causes and if we would all take this stance, the world could potentially become a better place. He might not share the same ideas as you or me or anyone else here; however, he is a human being worthy of respect. As far as I know, he is not guilty of any crime other than (lord forbid) him voicing his opinions on paulding.com.

  4. How? By raising taxes? Which Taxes? By cutting other important programs? Which State funded programs will you cut that will yield over $30 Million for Paulding County and similar percentages state wide?

Every politician in Georgia will likely have said the same thing as you just did by this November, but nobody else seems to know the secret formula that will preserve education funding without breaking the back of the taxpayer or seriously compromising other critical functions of Government. We are all in this together, and every department within State Government has shouldered a larger portion of this recession than education. The taxpayers are tapped out. It sucks. We know. And if you are in possession of that secret plan, we would like to hear the specifics, rather than seemingly unfulfillable campaign promises.

Do you have anything positive to say? Maybe if we work together we can hammer out something that works. All this negativity is not good for anything or anybody. Has any other candidate for this position offered a plan or even opened themselves up to this sort of feedback? :pardon:

  5. I know what it is! It just seems like everyone is complaining there not getting something. I had to put my kids through college without any help from anyone. I didn't b**ch or complain about it, I just did it. It blows my mind colleges would be complaining there not getting something and they're using race!

This is about school funding, not individual funds.

  6. Maybe people did decide to "forgive him" his "sin" from 10 years ago ... looks like he did win?

    I don't know?

    << John 8 >>

    King James Bible

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

For our sake now, I hope he continues to sin no more. I think more recent "sins" would have come out if there were anymore to report...

Maybe. Just looking at the stuff about him tonight, I would say they didn't forgive because they didn't even know.

Problem is that what he did 10 years ago might be a sin but I'm asking why a sin is something voters should be deciding on anyway. Since when do we cast those stones on sinners. I thought that was God's job. We are supposed to decide what politician will make laws, not how sinless somebody is. The only job I know of that we are to look at sins is the job of a preacher and I didn't know we got to elect a preacher because they are appointed in my church.

  7. I am not saying what you concluded earlier is right or in the scriptures, but you clearly need to do your homework and research on what true forgiveness is all about. Now you've wasted your time arguing with 50 people on here tonight and now you won't get any homework done. Get a good night's sleep and wake up to tackle your project. Good night.

Ok. Hebrews 8:12 "and I will remember their sins no more."

  8. The fact that I find disingenuous has nothing to do with the "revelation". I found him that way prior.

My opinion that he will be scattered all over the news and papers sometime soon, is just that . . . my opinion.

So, did your statement have a point?

I didn't vote for him either but it had nothing to do with the "revelation." I just disagree with the guy on nearly everything.

The point is that the people that talk so much about forgiveness just can't seem to find a way to do that when it comes to sex. Now if he had shot and killed somebody and did his time in jail, found Jesus behind bars, and came out on fire and waving a Bible, he would have been elected preacher and politician. 8) Rmember Chuck Colson? He didn't kill anybody but he spent time in jail for trying to throw a presidential election and he is the Darling of the extremists. :ninja:

That is for you to research. It is just like using a dictionary to learn the spelling of a word. Just sound it out and keep looking. We're all rooting you on. Now get busy.

Maybe because it is not there?
