  1. Well good show me the money that the common people will make, and your family that mad over six figures good for them. Now reality, where is the jobs that will spawn from this film to nowhere? Give examples of who will make what money?:drinks:

My husband is one of the common folks. He drives. They also hire carpenters and electricians to name a few. Just because they haven seen the great wisdom in hiring you does not mean they don't hire the common folks around. They employee hundreds of Georgian every year.

  2. Basic business, get the contracts then build. We are doing it backwards, spend millions and hope the business comes. In the mean time where did the money come from to build this? Tell the workers you furlough that there on camera. Look investing is good but those jobs they promise are short & temporary.dry.gif

Well my husband made almost 6 figures with those short temporary jobs for the last 2 years. And his aunt made over 6 figures.

  3. My husband works in the movie industry. This industry spent 1.2 billion dollars in Georgia last year. Georgia has voted to extend their tax credits for an additional 4 years. This promises to bring a good bit of business to Georgia. Other states that were competing for the business have placed caps on their credits which will drive business away. The film makers love Georgia for many reasons. The other cities and counties that have gone camera ready have really profited from this. If the county handles it correctly and markets itself well, this could be a good thing for Paulding as well. The tax credits are tiered in order to help Georgia residents. They have to employ a certain numbers of residents in order to get top tiers.

  4. I order the jackets and then do the embroidery on them, I also make the purse and all the embroidery. which one did you want?

I like them both. She is a ten year survivor this year. She has a birthday coming up and I think that she would love them. Could you pm me with details.

    Thanks

  5. So yesterday I posted a question about my husbands staph infection......He went to work yesterday thinking because the infection was under the skin with no open sores, he wasn't contagious. (Well he is) He told his manager yesterday afternoon what was going on and he says "Why did you come in?! If I had known that's what you had, I would have sent you home!" (Completely understandable) So the hub is feeling 10X worse this morning and called in (obviously, he was told yesterday that he was not wanted in the office.) His manager says that's fine, do what you got to do. Ok, well he calls hubby back to yell at him and says "I keep thinking about you calling in and the more i think about it the more it pisses me off. You are F***ing your coworkers and you are F***ing me! It doesn't matter how sick you are, you come into work" Hub reminds the manager what he said to him yesterday and tells him he is going back to the Dr today, but if he really wants him to come in, he will. Manager told him to "not to come in, stay at home and don't go anywhere."

The reason this worries me is because my husband lost his mother last month and we have been dealing with my crazy mother for a while, so I'm sure his attitude is a little different lately because of the amount of stress he's been under. His manager freaked out on him a couple of weeks ago for his attitude. My husband didn't even see it coming. (his manager is the kind of guy who takes it extremely personal if you don't say "Hello, Good morning" as soon as you see his face.)

So anyway, Hubby is on his way in the office for a face to face conversation. I'm just so nervous. Everyone please say a prayer, send good vibes and juju, and whatever else!

My daughters doctor said that it was not contagious if it was not open.

  6. Has anyone heard of this? My poor hubby had a HUGE knot in his neck that was very painful so he went to the Dr. Yesterday. Doc said it was a staph infection (how can this be, it's not an open wound?) Doc thinks hubby's head was broken out and he scratched scalp with dirty finger nails which caused an infection in his lymph nodes (or something like that). He said because it's not open, he can't test to see if it's the old school staph or MRSA, so he gave him 2 rx's and said take one for 2 days, if he sees no improvement then it's probably MRSA and to take the other meds. (Um...MRSA....Medically Resistant.....anyone?) The pharmacist warned my husband to stay out the sun with the MRSA meds or his skin will break out in a nasty rash with open sore. says if it were him he wouldn't be out in the sun for more than 10 minutes. (sounds scary)

If after the second medication, it's still there, he has to have it surgically moved. I'm concerned because it is so close to his spine and brain. can't it spread? If it's medically resistant, why even medicate?

My daughter had it on her arm. It looked like a giant bug bite. Hers was not open either. The daughter drained hers to get the infection out and then put her on two antibiotics at the same time. The dr said that these are "old" antibiotics that are rarely used anymore. That is why they prescribe them, because the infection does not recognize them and is not resistant. Hers was gone in 10 days. From what I understand, once you have staph, it is always in your system. Oh, and hers was MRSA.

  7. I had a cat bring up a baby bunny and I have looked on the internet and found one hundred different ways to take care of it. Some say 2% cows milk, some say kitten formula, others say goat milk.......has anyone ever nursed a baby bunny? Its eyes are open and it has teeth on top and bottom. No shock and seems to be well hydrated since it has peed on me like 4 times in the last 24 hours. It is drinking water but has not produced any stool (tried stimulating it even though the internet said that you didn't have to do that after their eyes werre open. It is very active and alert. Just want to keep this bunny alive.......and get it eating solid food. I have gotten the bacterial stuff that it needs for its intestines and some alpha hay......

    Thanks!!

We have been raising a wild baby bunny for about 5 weeks now. Started off with Kitten forumla from the vet. It has now been weened off of that and is eating regular food. No problems. We just put a bowl of rabbit food in the crate and he started nibbling. He now has no problems eating or drinking. He has doubled in size and is very strong.

  8. My Aunt was raped and beaten when she was in her late 60's. She was able to survive and the guy was caught. It was in a state that does not have the death penalty. He was given life with no parole. She knows that he can't get her, but she never feels comfortable. He still manages to control her fears as long as he lives. I am a very compasionate person, but in cases where it involves rape or children, I say:

Kill them all and let God sort them out!!!!

And keeping with family traditions, my brother feels that they should life in the electric chair with a dimmer switch.

  9. I come in this morning and pull up PCOM and see all these responses. Thanks for all the feedback guys. Regardless of what he chooses it will always make me nervous, but I will be proud to say that I have a brother serving and protecting our country.

My big brother is currently serving his second tour in Iraq. I understand your fears. I still remember the day he left for basic training. I cried my eyes out because I am very close to him. Over the years, I have figured out that he is where he is meant to be. He met his beautiful wife when he was stationed at Fort Hood in Texas. He finished his college degree before flight school and finished his Masters while in Iraq the last time. He is about to retire when he gets back this time and he has no regrets.

  10. ~~**UPDATE~~**

So last night She stayed up until 4 am. She was smiling and laughing. Just like her normal self just on a really messed up schedule. It was a 100% improvement. I finally got her to sleep around 4 no fever or anything. Then at 10am her fever spiked again to 104.3 I keep calling the dr's office and they say to wait until tomorrow to take her anywhere. I am guessing that they think it will pass. I am not a doctor. I have never had to deal with a sick kid. She is currently sleeping in the bed. I know that a lot of you are telling me to take her now but, I don't want them to push me off as a over dramatic mother when my dr said to wait.

Me, my husband, my 17 yr old and my 6 yr old had a virus a couple weeks ago. The only real systems were a fever that would spike and lack of desire to eat. It lasted about two days and then we were back to normal. My little one ended up with fifths disease after that. If she gets a rash in a couple of days, it may be fifths which is not a serious illness.

  11. ....I married the love of my life. Can't get my head around the fact it has been ten years on the calender but seems like just a moment in time.

Today is our 10th anniversary as well. Congrats to you.

  12. I understand the need for some sort of testing to benchmark their progress. I do not think that the CRCT is the answer. My 6 year old has almost all A's. She knows the test material up onside and down the other. When it came to the practice test, she did not do well. It was sooooo much information on one test that she became bored and let her mind wander. The teachers are stressed about these tests. My little one actually had a panic attack last night thinking that she was not allowed to miss any questions. This is a layed back child. How much are the schools freaking out to cause this kind of reaction?!?!

  13. I have a daughter that has just turned 1 and she is still crawling. I wanted to know if Jump for Joeys was for older kids or does it have a toddler area as well?? What are some other places I can take her??

    Thanks

Jump for Joeys has a toddler area that is for 3 and under I think. It may be 4, but I know that it is no older than that.

  14. My daughter was like this when she was really young. I explained to her that she had to take it to feel better and play with her friends. I let her know that I was not going to give up. Then I would have a cup of her favorite juice waiting and told her that she could have the juice as soon as she swallowed the medicine. She is almost 7 and she has been taking medicine like a champ since she was 2 1/2. She has had lots of ear infections so there has been lots of amoxicillian.

  15. Maybe the place that he is getting a job at would loan a truck/van or what ever is need

This is the funny part. They only use 12 and 15 passenger vans. It is the teamsters requiring the CDL, not the employer. He does not even need a CDL for their vans.
