  1. The day I gave birth to my son was the proudest day of my life. I don't think anything could ever beat that feeling. So you could ask me the same question 10 years from now and my answer would be the same. I would bet money that would be my husband's answer too! Of course he would also say the day he married me!!! HA! HA! HA!

  2. I know a young man who is in a christian rock band. The name of the group is World 4 Another. They played at Bethany Church in October. They were very good. I think they have a website. You can do a search and maybe find it. If not - pm me and I will get you in touch with him.

  3. I met Rusty Wallace and Michael Bolton. Almost got to meet Kenny Rogers when I was a kid. He was making the movie "Six Pack" at a church down the street from my house. We saw him, but didn't get close enough to talk. My mom and sister live in Jacksonville Fla and their neighbor use to be a backup singer in Lynyrd Skynyrd. They came over to the neighbors house for a visit and they got to party with them for a little while.

  4. A friend of mine sent me an email about a Sgt. in the Jacksonville Fla. police dept who is trying to warn people of an awful thing happening. Someone is going around putting hypodermic needles inside the handles of gas pumps. If that isn't bad enough, they have been contaminated with the HIV virus. There have already been 12 people infected with the virus that they know of in Florida, and they say there have been several other cases in some other states. It may not be happening here, but everybody please be aware of the possibility.

  5. Thanks lacey- I did call the phone company after my mother in law told me what she seen on the news. They told me that I did not have to worry, because 72# (call forwarding) had never been activated on my phone. That is why I could not get it to work. Something else to add- he called my house at least 5 more times in the 3 hours to follow. I called the Fulton county jail and told them what happened and i am to call back in the morning and speak with a Sgt. Mason. I hope they bust whoever did this - I am sure he did not give me his actual name- and monitor all his calls in the future.

  6. I was phone scammed today. First off, let me say that I am very gullible and have a very soft heart. I got a call from a payphone today and when I answered it, it was from Fulton county jail. I could not understand the name that was said over the phone when they told me who the collect call was from. Anyway, when the person started talking i had no idea who it was - but by the time i had tried to figure out who he was and how I knew him, he told me he needed me to call his mom and tell her to come pick up his kids or DEFACS was going to take them. Me being the softy that i am got the number and the "EXT" number that i needed to get her at work. He said the EXT number had to be dialed first then the phone #. Well, it sounded fishy, but i did it anyway. I called the number and asked for the lady , but i didn't dial the extension # first because the phone would get a busy signal. I told the lady what was said and she said thank you and asked me did i dial the ext. # first? I told her I tried - but my phone wouldn't let me. Come to find out - he was trying to get me to forward my calls to his # so he could talk to his family and charge it to me!!!! My mother in law saw this on the news the other day and told me that is what it was. I was so upset! Try to help someone and they try to scam me!! Just wanted to let you all know in case it happens to you.

  7. The National Poetry Contest had come down to the final two contestants, a Yale graduate and a redneck from Texas. They were given a word, then they were allowed two minutees to study the word and come up with a poem that contained the word. The word they were given was "Timbuktu." First to recite his poem was the Yale graduate. He stepped up to the microphone and said" Slowly across the desert sand- Trekked a lonely caravan- Men on camels, two by two- Destination Timbuktu. The crowd went crazy! No way could the redneck top that, they thought. The redneck calmly made his way to the microphone and recited: Me and Tim a huntin' went. - Met three women in a pop up tent. - They was three, and we was two, - So I bucked one, and Timbuktu. The redneck won hands down!!! :D
