  1. Like you added so much more? Blah blah blah that is all I read... it is like a broken record player on here with all of yall!!! If you want to know the truth I was againest Heath when he ran againest Tom Murphy who did a whole lot for this county and so many of the ones who are now so againest him was backing him then! I knew we would lose a vital piece of Paulding's representation we will never have another Tom Murphy or Nathan Dean. Many of the same ones who voted Tom out and caused Nathan to retire are the same ones now complaining! So whats up with that? I don't see where Carruth will be much different than what we have in there and we will lose again with a newbie in there!

Carruth will be constrained by the same things that Heath is and so on and so on, in four years it will be the same old song. You folks will be on to the next big politician because Carruth will not be able to produce like you all think they should! We will repeat history again and again on here! Why? Because in your minds they can go in the Gold Dome and say heres what we want and here is what I want to change and Boom it is done! Wrong when you are a newbie you don't get crap you have to work your way up the ranks and that takes years! So go on and drink the Kool aid and believe that Carruth is going to change so much for ya!! But first he has to win and I don't see it happening!!

With Heath we have a proven liar and we know that he has done nothing for Paulding County.

Carruth may be a newbie, but a well known newbie as he was with the DNR for years and even earlier he was Commissioner of Paulding.

  2. I am going to apologize first, then ask my questions, I AM SORRY.

What services does Hiram provide besides the Police (and their vehicles) and water in old Hiram? The reason I ask, my cousin worked many years for Hiram, cutting grass around the govt buildings and keeping the water working, a one man crew.

Many of us are aware that the Old Hiram sewer is a mess, is that one of the problems?

    Are there other services?

Has the Hiram govt become bloated with expensive Executives?

I hope Don Brown will weigh in on this as he lives there and has ran for a seat in the Hiram govt.

  3. I will NOT cast a vote for a candidate I do not believe in. You may think it's a wasted vote, but at least my conscience will be clear that I did not vote for someone that I think is corrupt or, as you put it, "the lesser of two evils".

The expression, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" comes to mind.

Maybe if people now see that they see their choices are Good ol' boy vs. Good ol' boy, maybe they'll realize that they need to be proactive in their gov't. Maybe if more people did a write-in vote, even if it's for Deputy Dawg, we would get the change we need and want.

My only other choice is to not vote at all and what good does that do?

I am amazed by some folks. They would rather throw away their vote than to make a choice between the candidates offered. Of all the write-in votes that were cast, did even one write-in win? NO.

I am amazed that so many can not tell the difference in a Good ol' boy and a Bad ol' boy (Someone that does absolutly nothing for the citizens or in fact does things to hurt the citizens.)

The only write-in that will have any effect is when the majority of the voters write-in one name that gets 50% + 1 votes.

  4. I actually did finish it.

And why the heck is it okay for everyone here to smear the candidate they are against but yet I can't ask a simple question????

For those that want to see it.....visit the Hwy. I am unable to post the PDF on here but as they say....IT does exist.

The topic has been removed. I wonder why?

  5. I tried to attach it, it said it loaded. pardon.gif I can email it if you prefer. I just hated that mysterious was being questioned when I had actually seen the documents.

No, that's a late filing, which is technically an ethics violation, but according to the article, she's going to fix that.

Speaking of ethics violations, Michael Ray James has failed to disclose the source of his campaign funds. pardon.gif

Wilkinson accused both Democratic and Republican signers of the pledge of being in violation. Melissa Morrison of Dallas is a Republican running in a three-way primary for House District 19. Wilkinson accused her of filing her personal finance disclosure after the deadline, but the ethics commission website shows she was on time.

Wilkinson correctly, however, noted Morrison filed her June 30 campaign finance report late and was fined $125, a fact Morrison acknowledges.

"My disclosure was faxed into the state on time, I was unable to send it electronically," Morrison said in an email to Common Cause Georgia executive director William Perry. "I was told that faxed disclosures were not accepted and I immediately filed it, again, electronically. No excuses! I am running my campaign on less than $5,000, and will pay the late filing fee this week."
