We still don't have power and I just finished crying in the bathroom. Today is my daughter's 20th birthday I would love to be able to give her power and warmth.
In 2014, just a few weeks after I lost my husband, it was my birthday when that snow storm shut down Atlanta and surrounding areas. I got up that morning having a pity party for myself - I couldn't get out and no one could get to me. After a while, I realized it could be a lot worse! I could be one of those stuck on the road for hours or I could be without power & food. So, I picked myself up, shook myself off and found things to do to keep me busy! Luckily, your daughter is 20 and can understand what's going on. And while I don't mean to diminish your feelings, sometimes it helps to know that things can always be worse.

It's sad to me that this is a 20 year sentence when someone who drives drunk & kills someone & leaves them on the side of the road only gets 15! Said DUI driver had many previous offenses & driving on a suspended license - where's the justice??!?!?!?

I've contacted 2 different lawn companies for quotes on having dirt hauled in to fill sink holes and seeding. Neither has followed through, so....I am asking for referrals for a dependable individual or company. Are there any out there?!?!?!? Thanks!

The company I used was not a big one. Have not received a letter and my phone calls have gone unanswered...
Wishing I knew what was going on! My trash can is full!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone have a referral for a company that will come down a long driveway to pick up????

I've used ETS Sanitation for many, many years & have been pleased with the service because they actually come down my long driveway to get the trash. However, my trash has not been picked up since the week of February 15th. Tried the phone number but recording says 'mailbox is full'. Does anyone else use their service & know what's going on? Thanks!!

That's ridiculous...especially knowing that a drunk driver who killed my brother-in-law only got 15 years and he was driving on a suspended license and had many previous violations!

Do you service lawn mowers...change oil, level decks, etc.
Also, is the $30 mobile fee like a service call fee? That in addition to other costs?

But then there are food service places that give you way too many of the condiments - what a waste!
Either way, we should feel lucky that we're not charged for every condiment - in other countries, patrons are charged for anything extra, including salt & pepper!

We got the Paulding Pulse as well. If this was a special election issue, where was Ayanna Cooper? I saw her name in the Dallas New Era some time back...she is running for a BOE position.

Wonder what it is? Something else good for Paulding?

When Shearin was out knocking on doors asking for votes, he told us that the county was working with the University of West GA to hold classes in the old courthouse building...no mention of a university being built here.

Any suggestions of who might take a 12 speed bike? It has been in the basement for a few years and may need some minor adjustments.

At the Regular Board meeting held on 5/27/2008 The Paulding County School Board voted UNANIMOUSLY to raise the taxes on preperty owners in Paulding County.
They proposed public hearings on June 24, 2008 -7:30 am , July 8,2008- 6:00 PM and July 22, 7:30 am All concerned citizens should make a attempt to attend these meetings.
This tax increase comes on the heels of the highest single year tax Increase ever imposed on the Citizens of Paulding County.
This School board has raised our taxes EVERY YEAR that they have held office, And when I vote this July 15th I intend to vote against everone that I possibly can that is an incumbent school board member.
Careful though You have one newcomer that is running for the School Board That was partially responsible for raising $ 50,000 to get the last School Bond Passed (David Martinez) Yep he was so sucessful in getting the School Bond passed That he has now decided to run for the School Board, and Spend some of our money.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH NO NEW TAXES

my daughter was just hired as a new teacher (her first time out) and needs to equip her classroom in a hurry....Does anyone have the following items for sale at a reasonable price.
1. 4-drawer filing cabinet
2. 3-4 shelf bookcase
3. Books suitable for 2nd grade students.
4. Small refrigerator.

Yeah, I saw a young driver on his cell phone driving down East Paulding Dr. Thursday afternoon. He was in front of a truck whose driver apparently thought he was going too slow, following much too close. The young driver put his hand out the window and gave the truck driver a middle finger salute. Two (or three) things wrong with this picture: the young driver on his cell phone in one hand and saluting with the other & the truck driver following too closely!! East Paulding Dr. was a packed sheet of ice!!
