This Wednesday from 4-9 Stevie B's is hosting a fundraiser for Jordon Hensley, an 11 year old 5th grader at Russom Ele.
Jordon Hensley is 11 years old, She is in the 5th grade at Russom Elementary School in Dallas Ga. She was born with congenitally corrected transposition of the greater vessels, which in english means that her heart is reversed. When she was born they were told that there was nothing that could be done for her.
Three years ago a doctor invented a "double switch" operation for children with this heart defect. Which means they take her heart out of her chest & reverse the aorta and pulmonary arteries as well as the left & right
ventricles to their proper sides and put her heart back in her chest the right way.
Jordon has had 3 open heart surgeries trying to prepare and strengthen her heart for this surgery. She is now ready!!! The surgeon that is able to do this is at Childrens Medical in Dallas, Texas. The Family is leaving on
April 4th and were told to plan for a months stay in Texas. The surgery is scheduled for April 7th. Jordons dad, Phil, has requested Family Medical Leave from his job which means he will have a job when we returns but will
not be paid while they are away for that month. His job is the only source of income for the family.
If this surgery is as sucessful as we hope it will be, Jordon will not have to have a heart transplant at a later date. Thank you for all your support and we look forward to seeing you all at Stevie B's in Hiram, Wednesday night 4-9 pm.
They do have insurance that will cover a good part of it but not all. There is a Ronald McDonald House but it is first come first serve so there is no guarantee that they will be able to stay there.
If you cannot attend the Stevie B's function and would like to make a donation or donate a care package you may bring either by Above Average.

As with all business there comes the attempt at running you down and building them up....Rarely ever works cause once you get something going good people tend to show loyalty. Of course you are out to get advertisement, its your friggin job....duh!
I don't know who said that but here's a slap for you dingle "BAM".....But anyhow, Pubby this too shall pass and those who are running smack and trying to bring over members won't work. The gift was meant with good intention I suppose, I didnt know about it or I would have given without any ties but thats just me. I do believe the others who gave were influence by the negative people who you had a personal issue, the two are separate issues and should not be tied together. You mentioned your situation, people helped and you had a great Christmas, no more to be said about that.
