    today  is my  day 8 of not smoking... :D  :D  :D  :D

    now  let me tell you  about  my day. I saw people with a little hope in their lives, people that have  no i dea whether  their moms  dads kids  or other love ones are alive. i talked to a little lady  that  had  no idea if her kids were alive  of if she would  ever see them again.  what could i say to that?nothing ..  what could i offer her ?  a ear  to listen to her with  a shoulder  for her to lean on if but  for only a minute.  most  all i could  give her  was a hugg.  i ask her  if she would like to use  my cell phone to see if she could  catch somebody  at home.she told  me  her home  was not there anymore. her kids  and grandkids homes were  gone also.what could i do?i talked to her for a little while longer  or rather  listen to her story. i think that helped more than  anything i  could do or give her.  just a  persone to listen to her. i saw little ones that  had very little clothing.  and then i looked around.  do you have any idea  what i saw? more cloths the walmart  and kohls together had. we as paulding countians  have way to much  stuff.  some people told me they had brought alot of things but could have  brought more .It broke  my heart to find out that a young girl was ashamed to  come there  and eat  because hse had nothing  and didnt want people  to look down  on her.  that about killed me.i know several people talked to her  and she finally accepted a plate.i just want to thank the PEOPLE  of paulding county  and a few from cobb :D  :D  they know who they are.so  you see  we can pull together  whether  we are christian  or pagan  or what ever. it  didnt make a difference today. we were what we are supposed to be ...HUMANS..

    i want to say thank you to all the great ones i met. soapmom    you  rock  lol .. curtis  you are the man.  and i wish i could have gotten over to see yall this evening.  but  spa  has comp issuses.  she now has a trojan horse i have to remove  and had to work on her pc  for awhile tonight.  now i hope  and pray i can get some rest  tonight  but i doubt it.  with all the mental pics  running threw my head  i dont know if ill sleep for a few days. so much life lost yet, so much love was shown to us today  by  men , women , and kids  that dont have a thing in life left..................

    Come on folks!! Have some fun with the dummies that park on the 'special lines'.

     

    I am always such a good and friendly neighbor to everyone. I always tell the nice citizens I see just getting out of their car parked on the lines that the police were just here a few minutes ago putting tickets on the cars not in the lines. Can't tell you how many folks have thanked me so much for letting them know as they get back in their car to MOVE IT. I smile all the way home!! :D

    UM ..NO ..I'M NOT STATING THAT THAT IS A LEGAL THING TO DO.....FIRST LET ME SAY I WAS SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSING THE WAL-MART ISSUE.... BIGMOMMA....PEOPLE( LOTS) BREAK ALL KINDS OF TRAFFIC LAWS EVERYDAY...I WISH MY AGENCY OR ANY AGENCY HAD THE MANPOWER TO BE ON TOP OF THAT AT ALL TIMES...BUT IT BOILS DOWN TO PRIORITIZING CALLS AND OUR TIME....WE ENFORCE TRAFFIC LAWS AS MUCH AS WE REALISTICALLY CAN...BUT...THAT IS ONLY A  PORTION OF OUR JOB....A VERY IMPORTANT ONE...BUT NOT THE ONLY ONE..... SO IM NOT REALLY SURE WHERE YOU ARE GOING WITH YOUR COMMENT .....BUT I DO ENCOURAGE ALL DRIVERS TO SLOW DOWN BE AWARE AND BE SAFE....WE WORK WAY TOO MANY WRECKS IN THE CITY OF HIRAM.....AND YES WHEN WE ARE ABLE WE WILL BE OUT THERE ENFORCING TRAFFIC LAWS...COME BY OUR CITY COURT SOME MONTH...ITS STANDING ROOM ONLY...SO I KNOW MY GUYS ARE OUT THERE !!!!!

     

     

    Thank You for clearing up that issue. If at least 1 of all of your officers just had a full time job sitting in the cars in the Bp-Waffle House Parking lot, Hiram would be the richest city in the whole state! I see 100's of people who ALWAYS cross those lines there just to get up to the traffic light, so they won't have to wait at least, 3 minutes to wait for their turn. Your officer's would probaly give out atleast 100 tickets a day for that. I know that the Hiram Police Department is always busy, but try it for about a week and see what the results would be. I think that they would be impressive. I just wanted to say that. I am glad that is off my chest. I can sleep a little better tonight.

    Silver Comet Trail

    When I read the topic I thought you was talking about the people on the comet trail who Dont stop at the stop signs,you know they have stop signs to and like we was talking about with ones on bikes that dont stop alot of runners dont either.I think they should maybe get a fine also.Your on foot you should be watching out for cars that can run you over.Not that the drives need to stop also and look but everyone needs to watch what their doing.

     

    Well, its also the people who drive the cars too. :closedeyes:

     

    Are you trying to say that its only the people who walk or ride on the trails fault.

    Let me hopefully clear this post up before it gets out of control.....Although it is annoying that people park there...by defintion of the law it is not illegal....They are yellow stripped lines not blue which could possible indicate Handicap parking. I have had several phone conversations with Wal-Mart Management in reference to the overwhelming amount of complaints we receive on this very issue. At this point in time there is nothing Hiram P.D...The County or any other Law Enforcement Agency can do....for one big reason...It's on private property....Also....Wal-Mart as of today (The last time I checked) Has yet to put up signs indicating it as a no parking zone....Let me explain the City Ordinance which would allow the Hiram Police to take action on this matter..... This would fall under City Ordinance 46-17 Criminal Tresspass by Motor Vehicle (Misdemeanor) Wal-Mart or any business has to do the following; The parking are has to be identified by at least one sign for every 150 parking spaces each sign has to contain the following elements in easy to read print. 1) Notice of the elements of the crime of tresspass by motor vehicle

    2) Identification of the property and it's use

    3) Identification of the merchant or shopping center

    4) And the most important  "warning that violators will be prosecuted".

     

    As long as wal-Mart leaves those spots unmarked and due to it being on private property ...by law there is nothing Hiram P.D can do...once they mark it with the proper signs we will be more than happy to assist in the removal of all improperly parked vehicles.

    I have seen hundereds of people who cross the yellow lines on a busy road. They have also almost hit me several times. so, are you stating that, too.

    I just love Wally World!!

     

    I can go there, park in the special yellow stripped places near the front, and get to spend the whole day & night, cause I am so special and better than everyone else!

     

    I love walking round Wally World, bumping into other shoppers, with my buggy, with the one pouch of chewing tobacco, that I'll buy later on.

     

    The lights of Walmart just fascinate me so much! 

     

    The crowds of people - all walking round with that dazed look on their face - its the biggest place they've ever been in!

     

    Oh, I can spend hours, looking over whether or not to purchase a national brand's product or Walmart's version and comparing them!

     

    And, for thrill seekers, I can drive my jalopy around the parking lot, doing 1 mph, then, hit the gas, running down people -- its so thrilling!

     

    Then, back to my special parking place -- got to get back inside, pay for my chewing tobacco.

     

    I love to get to the checkout, then, have the cashier double check the price for me, by sending someone off, to La-La land to verify its price.

     

    Then, I like to hold up the line, by going outside to my car, getting my wallet, where my cash is, to I can pay - who cares how far the line is backed up to!  I'm so special!

    I hate that!! :angry2: It's like for example: If you are driving down the road and there is a lot of traffic and there are also some yellow lines . Well, that's like me saying" Well, I'll just drive down the yellow line because I think that I am special. "

     

    It is not fair, well life is not fair, but still. OBEY THE WAL-MART LAW!!! :angry2:

     

    We should have desinated parking spots for members on P.Com so we won't have to drive around for 30 or 45 minutes just to go in and by some toilet paper. Ahhhh.....Toilet Paper :wub:

     

     

    One simple rule: OBEY THE WAL-MART LAW!!!!!!!!!!! :angry2:
