  1. I, personally, prefer "pig".

    No disrespect to ya'll intended.

    Disrespect to another fully intended.

Looking atrocious (fake red hair, ridiculous getups, overweight), absolutely does not impede upon someone's ability to lead, but unethical behavior that is glutinous and self-serving (especially receiving a salary through taxpayers while owing taxes) definitely characterizes someone as a pig in my book.

BossHog, really? Are you really gonna let this dumba$$ be so ignorant and post this kind of trash?? I am having a very SLOW day at the office and would love to call some of these bullies 'names'! Talk about biased....

  2. While I know very few of you personally, and I will direct this response to no one in particular, I find it funny that when the conversation swerved off into the house's immigration bill, that many of you demand to call our illegal residents 'hispanics or Mexicans'....really? Just to think most of those posters believe all of our immigrants are from Mexico!! rotflm a$$ off!

And another post I read said, "but the other candidate will NOT come on HERE and answer questions"....hmmmmm, wonder why? There are approximately 20 of you goofballs that seem to spend all day posting nonsense...why would she; and yes, I support 'her'...those of you that get all of your information here on this 'board' better wise up and look elsewhere. Most of the forums here really amount to little more than entertainment to most of us. As far as the 2 opposing candidates, one is a blathering idiot and the other is a johnny-come-lately with bad vibes with this county. It really makes the decision quite easy.

  3. Great news. I will be at the yard sale in Downtown Dallas. I plan to check the Farmer's Market out. I've never been. I hope they have corn. Is it too early for corn?

Much too early for corn in this area....should be ready by early July!

  4. There is a lady that I work with that is looking for some rabbits for her grandkids for Easter. She has called around a few places and no one has them. If you know were she can get some please let me know. Thanks.

The new little pet store next to the Avenue had a little brown one the other day....just tell your friend that cute little bunnies turn in to huge eating, poopin, destructive, time comsuming animals (with BIG sharp teeth!) I have a 14 pounder that lives in the house and requires lots of attention, but we sure do love him!

  5. I'm the new owners daughter and we were wondering about your thoughts on the City Cafe (the bus station). What did you like, dislike, past experiences, what do you think may need improving and how would you go about it. Thank you.

I have been in Dallas 13 years and ate at the City Cafe MANY times!! I really liked the homey atmosphere, all the old folks hanging out, the owner in his apron out back with a smoke, the funky little 'Ladies Room' (with the ashtray)!!, the hometown wait service, the sliced maters with my scrambled eggs, the FLAT biscuits....shall I go on??

I didn't notice any pests or whatever, but when you re-open try to keep that hometown feel!! When do you plan to open? The Saturday Farmers Market misses breakfast !!!

  6. I actually wanted to try Fatbacks chicken livers, but I was afraid to, then the lady that was sitting next to me had them, and they looked so good... so that will be what I try next time...

That was probably me eatin those chickn livers!!!!! They were simply AWESOME!!! VERY difficult to get good, crispy, yummy fried livers! I also had the fried green maters, pintos and mashed taters! It was all good.....wait service was good, too....Oh, and so was the sweet tea! Tried the strawberry cobbler, but by then I was so full I thought I was gonna burst! :o

  7. I was very disappointed to see the City Cafe closed yesterday...I eat there every Saturday morning with the Farmers Market crew...very old fashioned; but that's what we all loved about it. Looking forward to seeing it reopen and hope it is not too different than before. I wish Dewey a happy retirement!!
  8.

this week Sonia Leigh is the headliner.

A Jim Hensons muppet exhibit is at the center for puppetry arts.

Louvre Atlanta is at the High.

    Downtown or elsewhere,

there are TONS of random poetry readings,

    all kinds of musical events,

OR you could stay in 'town' here and come to the Farmers market on Saturday morning at the Courthouse!!

    yee haa !

  9. Anybody have something POSITIVE to contribute? PLEASE, before I go mad? I guess I could leave, but I am interested in finding out GOOD INFORMATION, and this website SHOULD be a place we can get that IMO.

I absolutely LOVE Paulding county.....the school system, the people, the 'small town' feel....I grew up in the city of Atlanta and things just don't compare...

  10. Some friends of mine told me tonight that you have to be up there by 6am to get anything.

    Is this true?

The Market runs from 7 am till noon (or until the vendors sell out) 8:00 is a good time to be there.

Last Sat was our 1st day and LOCAL produce is just now coming in. This week will have some new vendors ( homemade BBQ sauces, LOCAL produce, eggs, honey, 12 varieties of jams, pickles,) Due to the lack of rain, the produce is a little behind! Hope to see you there!
