  1. I missed the vanilla when I voted to <_< My other is lavender. Every cleaning product in my house is lavender and vanilla. All of my lotions too. It is supposed to be relaxing and that is what I am aiming for :D

Oooo, me too. I love Vanilla and Lavender. I make my own scent for the house though. I use a soapstone burner with dried lavender and dried rosehips, and a touch of vanilla essential oil. It smells sooooo wonderful.

My absolute favorite scent in the world, is the smell of the ocean right after a light rain. Nothing compares to that.

  2. ok w/birfth controls

This is a prime example of what happens when kids sleep together...She gets pregnant, they drop out of school, then neither one of them can even spell BIRTH!!!! :fool:

btw...just a j/k Carabella, sorry it was at your expense, but I couldn't help myself.

  3. I have a external device that I put eveything on.

I learned my lesson the hard way LOL

I thought I was safe doing that too, until my cat knocked my external drive off the desk. Now every picture , music file, document, etc. that I had is gone unless I somehow miraculously come up with the money to have it recovered. I know now to back up all my files multiple times, in different places.

  4. There is a very nice place here in town called Weddings In Paradise. I had my wedding there almost 7 years ago. It was very affordable, very laid back, and they take care of everything from flowers to food to music to photos. It is seriously one stop shopping.

  5. I know a few Logans...

We never heard our daughter's name before we had her and still haven't met anyone with her name :D I'm glad she most likely won't be in the same kindergarten class with 15 other Helenas (huh-lay-nuh) ^_^

There is a really strange movie called Boxing Helena. Real off the wall movie about a guy that falls for a girl then turns her into his own personal Venus De Milo and keeps her in a box. The Misfits even wrote a song about the movie. It has a great cast, Julian Sands, Sherilyn Fenn and Bill Paxton. It still ended up being a B movie, but it turned into a real cult classic.

  6. My Ins covers it I only pay $40

I am rewarding myself I bought a new home in Dallas, I close on it Monday!

You are very lucky that your ins covers this. And Congrats on the home. I hope you did well today. It is a process so don't get discouraged if you mess up. I went a day and a half without one, and then I had a couple of drinks, and that was it for me. I smoked several that night, but the next day I didn't have any. And then the next day after that, and so on. And I haven't had one since. That was Feb. 17 2008.

  7. The one being filmed at the Old Save-Rite is a Rob Zombie movie, called Zombie Land (I think) a friend is a PS officer and was working there on Tuesday to close off the road around there.

I read that Ashton Kucher is filming one in Douglasville!!!

 Not sure where you got your info that this is a Rob Zombie movie, but his name is nowhere to be found in any credits for this movie. As of right now, Rob Zombie is in the middle of filming H2, the follow-up to Halloween. All the info about H2 is on his Myspace page, including current blogs about the filming. His last blog entry was on March 9 and he says week 3 of filming H2 has just started.

The Woody Harralson movie is directed by Ruben Fleisher and has been filming all over Ga.

  8. I save 3 cents at Kroger using my Kroger Plus card. And if you spend $100 on groceries, fill 2 perscriptions, or buy $50 worth of gift certificates, you get 10 cents off. Of course, I usually don't actually shop there because it is too expensive, so I am just happy with the 3 cents off.

  9. There is a new Urgent care Center opening in New Hope at the corner of Dallas Acworth hwy and East Paulding. I do not know what positions they have open, but they sent out a lyer saying they were scheduled to open sometime in March.

  10. Well said :good: I would agree .. I don't go out looking to adopt animals that I cannot afford. However, I would never turn away an animal that needed help and love.

I have to jump in here. On Black Friday 2007, my sister and I were going out very early in the morning to go shopping, and I saw a tiny Kitten on the side of the road siiting on a trash bag. We stopped and I got out to get the kitten. When I got to the bag, I noticed it was moving. There were 6 kittens in there that someone had tied up and threw out on the side of the road on Thanksgiving!!! They were so young, their eyes were not even open yet. If I could have seen who did it, I would have tied them in a bag, and threw them in the middle of the road.

I love all animals big and small, and will always help out in what ever way I can.

These folks aren't even keeping the dog--they're the in-between step before the dog goes on to rescue, so their whole purpose in stepping in is to help the animal get to a place that can further help him and hopefully get him into a forever home. And they're asking for others to help make that happen. Few of us would have a spare $400 laying around to give to one animal we don't even plan to keep, but if 40 people can help with $10 each, the dog gets helped and no one has to do without to make it happen.

I seem to remember that many of us on P'com had NO problem coming up with $10 twice a week for several weeks when we had the lottery pool going. I think we had about 50 people in the pool by the end. That would be more than enough money for this poor dog or others like him to get all the help they need.

  11. I have to make one suggestion. As far as the classics from high school, my absolute favorite was A Separate Peace by John Knowles. This is a wonderful book that was required reading when I was in school. I have re-read it several times since then. I can not recommend this book enough.

Also, I see that other people have made these suggestions, but I want to reiterate Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson, two of my faves.

  12. Mine is just my nickname that I"ve had for most of my life!! My name is Teresa and Reesy came from that!

That is what one of my boyfriends called me!! I am a Teresa too.

My screen name is the first letter of my hubby's name, the first letter of my name, and my last name. Not very creative, but it's easy for me to remember.

  13. Atlanta Motor Speedway is offering a special for the Kobalt Tools 500 race on March 8. If you spend $25 at Lowes, you get a code on your receipt for Buy 1 Get 1 Free tickets. If anyone spends gets this code, but does not want to use it, could you IM me please. I want to get tickets for my Husband for Valentines Day, but money is kinda tight right now, as it is for most of us, I am sure. This is an excellent opportunity for me to be able to afford the tickets. The offer is for the Petty Grandstand, which is a good place to sit, and with the offer, they are only $47.50. Thanks.

  14. I had a friend in high school that owned a Le Car. He was over 6' tall, so in order to drive it, he had to remove the front seat and drive from the back! I don't know what happened to the other front seat, but it was missing too. He had a lawn chair in it's place, so needless to say, it was an adventure to ride with him anywhere. The best memory I have of the car though, is one day some of his friends decide to play a joke on him. About 4 or 5 guys picked the car up and carried it across the parking lot so he could not find it! That car was a real POS, but I am sure he wished for that light car when his Bronco he got afterwards fell on his leg and broke it while he was working on it :o

  15. Ham and Hasbrown Casserole

    8 bacon slices

    3/4 cup chopped sweet onion

1 30 oz package frozen shredded hash browns, thawed

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 16 oz container sour cream

2 cups shredded colby jack cheese

1 8 oz package diced ham

1 4 oz jar pimientos drained

2 tbls coarse grain dijon mustard

    salt and pepper to taste

Add onion to pan and cook over med-high heat until tender and golden. Reduce heat to med-low and swirl in butter. Remove pan from heat.

Squeeze excess water from hashbrowns. Stir potatos, soup and remaining ingredients into onion and butter mixture. Spoon into greased 13" x 9" baking dish.

Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with covered bacon. Bake for 15 more minutes or until brown on top. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

    Makes 12 servings.
