  1. I made Laundry detergent, that I got the recipe from here. Is it suppose to be real gel? I thought it might be like the detergent you get in a bottle. Did I put enough water? I put in 4 cups- six cups -1 gal.- then six cups more-- it said get a 5 gallon bucket-- it is only half full. Please help, am washing clothes today and don`t know if this is going to work--- hopefully Thanks for any info I can get.

Yes, it gets like gel- when you stir it, it liquifies again. I ended up getting a paint stirrer from Ace hardware- but cheaper at Home Depot & attached it to my hubby's drill thing. but a big spoon works as well.

  2. How long did your daughter know this roomate before she signed a lease with her?

DId she ever act like this before?

If she breaks her lease what will they charge her?

She has 2 months left on the lease & they will charge her somewhere in the neighborhood of $3,000!!!! The roommate is supposed to go to court March 3rd & the police officer said that the roommate would be evicted at that time. But I just can't believe that the SWAT team being called to your apartment wouldn't be enough for that person to be evicted alone.

They worked together for nearly a year before they moved in together. The girl's mom said that she has some kind of obsessive relationship syndrome. (???)

Evergreen cannot just kick her out on the street...only a judge can do that with an eviction. You basically have a person who was obviously depressed and having suicidal thoughts(happens many times every day) which led to her being involuntarily committed for a psych evaluation which turns this into a medical issue. She was released after treatment which means the doctors do not think she is a threat to herself. No way Evergreen(or anyone else) has the power to put someone on the street for that unless they want to write a check when they are sued.

I guarantee if this was your daughter who was going through the tough time you would have a completely different outlook.

I wouldn't want to live next door in an apartment w/ my children when the SWAT team was called out for something like that.

  3. Situation sounds completely , sorry for your daughter & the neighbors!

Hope it gets better for all involved.

But what you are asking is about a legal matter which doesn't "care" -- read the lease and follow the early-out-policy. Most leases will let you out early if you provide notice in writing and 1 month of lease payment, but you must read the lease to make sure you are in compliance. That's the only way I know of which will end a lease before the contractual period ends.

    GOOD LUCK!

Thank you very much. I will ask my daughter to look at her lease & check that out. At this point I have told her that I am willing to pay her part to get her out of the lease & be done w/ Evergreen & mostly her roommate!

  4. Oh my Gosh thank God your daughter is okay...........I would be worried also........They should not make her stay due to the circumstances......just an opinion.......

That's exactly what I am saying! And not only for my daughter's safety. What about neighbors?! I mean you see it on the news all the time- children & people being killed or shot from stray bullets. And this roommate & her boyfriend had been together for a total of 3 months, so it doesn't take much to push her over the edge. And the boyfriend is back as well!!!! She has talked to the apartment manager several times & also Evergreen's corporate office. She cannot get any help from any of them! It's just hard for me to believe that there isn't SOMETHING that can be done about this.

Oh wow...sounds awful! I hope everything works out for you. A friend of mine got out of her lease because she provided proof that her new husband was a marine and was about to be stationed elsewhere. So they released her contract with no penalties, etc. I think it may have even been at the same apts. as your daughter..the name does sound familiar.

Thank you. Sounds crazy that a police report stating the SWAT team had to come out & that THE POLICE Dept. heard her threatening to "blow her brains out" would be enough to evict someone IMMEDIATELY! But it doesn't seem that way for Evergreen.

  5. My daughter signed a lease contract at Evergreen Apartment last May with a girl that she works with. Little did she know the girl has "issues". The girl had a mental break down with her boyfriend. And after my daughter went to work on Feb. 3rd, the Paulding County SWAT team had to be called out. Her roommate had threatened suicide with a gun on the phone all morning with the boyfriend if he did not return. The roommate was admitted into Cobb mental ward for 3 days. The roommate returned to the apartment & my daughter does not feel safe there due to the suicide threats & instability of her roommates mental state. She has given the apartment manager the police report & it states that they heard the roommate on the phone threatening to "blow her brains out if the boyfriend didn't return". My daughter has turned the power off at the apartments- because she is no longer staying there & doesn't want to pay a power bill for someone else to stay there. The power was just rolled out of my daughter's name & into Evergreen's name & they tell her that she will still owe 1/2 the power bill $$. The roommate is supposed to go to court March 3rd, to be evicted. I think it's ridiculous that someone threatening to use a GUN in an apartment is still ALLOWED to stay in the apartment. A stray bullet kills people in apartments all the time.

Does anyone have any idea anything that my daughter can do to get her roommate out? My daughter has offered to sign her part of the lease over to her roommate, since her roommate will not.

Thank you all in advance & sorry for the lengthy message.

  6. I don't know what happened but when I went to Wendy's they had 5 police cars there and the pumps and front door were roped off the crime scene tape.

My daughter said that she heard that it was REALLY BAD:( I think we all need to say a prayer for the workers & their families!!

  7. Had the same problem in a west cobb sub.. it ended when they were arrested on drug traffic charges. so this is not a new phenom.

    bb

I honestly believe that is part these kids deal too. Sometimes they are standing up by my neighbor's fence & a car will stop for a few minutes & they do something & then they are gone. (Like a drug deal!) UGGHH, It's disgusting!

:angry2: GRRRR - the four horses that were let out were not far from there -

I heard from a friend of mine that works w/ the Sheriff's dept about them chasing horses- but I didn't know that it was near us.

I bet there is a connection here!!! These are big kids that are going to get in WAY more trouble than they can get out of!!! I just wonder why they were ringing my bell. We park in the garage. I am wondering if it was to see if anyone was at home! And if we weren't... They may break in!

  8. It's pretty ridiculous that THAT many people wouldn't know where there TEENAGE hoodlem is at that time of night/morning!!! Paint ball gun & air horn sounds like a really good idea!!! Thank you. My husband is a very good shot- they wouldn't get out of the neighborhood w/ clean clothes on, that's for sure!!

Who would've ever thought this would go on in NEW HOPE!!!

  9. Here we go again-- I posted a few months ago that we had a boat motor stolen off our boat in the yard & several other neighbors had their vehicles ramsacked & some items stolen out of cars as well... I live in Ivy Grove Subdivision off Ivey Gulledge.

Well, Sunday morning 3am the doorbell rang- I jumped out of my skin & then hubby looked out & said no one was there. (This has happened 2 or 3 times over the past 9 months or so). They ring the doorbell & run. The neighbors dogs were raising heck!! I got up & went out- there were boys- SEVERAL running from a neighbors house over to Ivy Springs. I thought that was odd- but whatever. My next door neighbors dogs just kept raising heck...

The next door neighbors called me yesterday afternoon to ask me if we had heard the comotion.. I told her what happened & she proceeded to tell me what else went on.. She said that they finally got up about 4am & there were SEVERAL teenage boys in my yard up against their privacy fence. Her husband hollered to the boys to get out from there & the boys hollered back at him & banged on his fence. There were 10-15 big kids!! They called the police- kids had scattered by then. Her husband got in their car & went riding looking for the kids. He saw them run into another neighbors yard & put his car lights on their yard & the kids scattered again. He road Ivy Springs & Ivy Grove again- looking... The boys came BACk to her fence/my yard. She hollered at them & they again hollered back her & made a loud noise by hitting her fence or something. And they ran again- called the police BACK & they again couldn't find the boys. This has got to stop. Someone is going to get hurt. And kids are going to get in SERIOUS trouble. We're over it!!!! Please, if you know anything about this- let us know. I saw a couple of vehicles pulling into Ivy Springs when I was up looking out & the kids were running through the neighborhood entrance way- just hoping someone saw something & can help.

    Thanks in advance!

  10. How did he get off the road? Was he already stopped or what? Bless his heart!

He was stopped at the light. I don't know how the lady in the car behind him knew that he was in trouble. I honestly thought at first that it was angry woman going to whip up on someone when she jumped out of her car & flew his door open real quick. But somehow she knew he was in need & she came to the rescue along w/ at least 2 other citizens. I just hope & pray that he is ok.

  11. I was just through the intersection at 120 & 278 in Hiram. There was a driver in a black mustang that some how the driver behind knew that he was in trouble- medically. I called 911 & paramedics were dispatched. I just wondered if someone could/would give me an update to let me know that the driver is ok. There were several people out helping him.

  12. Thank you all so much for your prayers. If I could share this story, I would. But since this is not my child, I can't throw too much information out there.

But this 23 year old young man is truly a MIRACLE from God & that is the only thing that expains him waking up last night from being unconscious for 4 days & saying "Momma". Yes!!! He woke up & also spoke several words, MOMMA being the most inportant:)

I can't thank all of you enough for your prayers. Blessings have truly been sent down his way. He's not out of the woods yet, but everything is looking up & sounds like he will have a complete recovery.
