  1. If you happen to have knowledge of DVD Players... please educate me...

I ordered and received a DVD Player for the car... the one where you hang the displays on the back headrest.

I put in a DVD and it worked fine. But, when I started trying other DVDs, I would get the message...

"This DISC is not formatted to play in this Region".

They play fine in my home DVD player... just not in the one that goes in the car.

And yes... they are store bought DVDs....

Any help would be appreciated... the owners maual did not give a phone number or address on who to call for technical questions....

    Thanks..

  2. We take my son's cans to...

    Self-Recycling, INC

    168 Cassville Road

    Cartersville, GA 30120

    770-382-2320

Last weekend we took a 39 gallon trash bag full of crushed cans there... got $24.00... my 9 year old was shocked.... then of course we headed to Walmart...ha

  3. If possible, check you owners manual. It will tell you what weight/type oil to use.

If you don't have you manual, jot down the name of the engibe (ie, Briggs & Stratton, Honda, etc) and call a local repair shop and ask them.

If all that fails... here are some guidelines.

Use a high quality detergent oil classified "For Service SF, SE, SD, SC OR BETTER"

    Below 20~ use 5W-20 or 5W-30

Between 0~ and 100~ 10W-30 is acceptable. However most engines will use oil more rapidly with 10W-30 above 40~ than straight 30W. So check the oil more often.

    Above 40~ use 30W

Some engines, like the Kohler Commands, should use 10w-30 oil year around. These engines have valve lifters that require 10W-30 to operate correctly.

Only use 10W-40 as a last restart. Some engines have failed in as little as 10 hrs. operation under adverse conditions when using 10W-40.

  4. My 9 year old has a pair... he bought them at a yard sale (-:

He is not allowed to wear them anywhere but at home.

It's amazing where I see kids using them... scout meetings, stores, ball parks, CHURCH... etc..

  5. I noticed the schools pulled out all the stops - there were lots of parents with kids voting. I suppose they would have kept throwing this at us until it passed. Great, my taxes go up to provide nice new schools for their larvae. I thought the BOC promised us several years ago "we won't let what's happened in Cherokee happen here?"

You obviously don't have any children.

If you did, you might possibly feel different about this

    bond referendum.

A good education means a lot to me......whatever it takes

to get one. If it means voting yes to higher taxes, whatever.....

then I'll do it. My child deserves to have the best education possible.

And if voting "yes" means he won't have to go to schools so crowded

they are bursting at the seams, so be it.

  6. Free Bird....

Went fishing there on Saturday. Not sure how they got to the lake dam... someone cut a pine tree down blocking the road to the dam (at least the road from the cudlesac).

I went by there last Friday morning just to make sure the bank area was clear enough to do some bank fishing and there was a red car with Bartow tags parked in the cudelsac....

  7. I was a hairdresser for over 20 yrs. and have someone to refer you to.

Her name is Donna Minter and she works at Thairapy Salon on the corner of

Mars Hill Rd. and Cobb Pkwy. It's the shopping center behind the BP gas station.

She's a great hairstylist and is wonderful with foils and color. I have been very

pleased with her work and she's got lots of personality. Go see her, you'll be glad

    you did.

  8. Not really sure but I think the stalking thing revolves around them sending numerous emails

Kennesaw officer withdraws complaint against Sipples

The Kennesaw officer who sought the arrest of a Bartow County couple in regard to them recording his vehicle with a camera and radar gun dropped his complaint Wednesday in Bartow magistrate court.

Officer Richard Perrone alleged that Lee and Teresa Sipple stalked him after they purchased $1,200 in video surveillance and radar equipment that allegedly tracked Perrone speeding past their home, which lies at the end of a steep hill, up to 17 miles over the speed limit.

The Sipples have e-mailed Perrone several times in regard to the matter.

Before the proceedings, Perrone and the Sipples' attorney, Edward McAfee, requested a meeting in chambers with Chief Magistrate Thomas Mosley, and then Perrone wanted to meet in private with the Sipples, who turned him down as they looked at their two-and-a-half-year-old son who they say serves as the basis for their actions.

According to the Sipples' attorney, Perrone wanted to meet to request that the couple stop e-mailing him, but only a superior court judge can enforce restrictions of this nature.

Perrone told the couple in front of Mosley, "I would like to withdraw my warrant application for arrest."
